This property is located in a tranquil location overlooking a canal in Vaikom. The location is calm and quiet, and the property is well-maintained. The caretaker is efficient and has good knowledge of the local area. The food and dining experience is excellent, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The property is spacious and beautifully decorated with antiques and artifacts. However, the check-in experience needs improvement, and the cleanliness could have been better. Overall, Location and Food & Dining are the highlights of this property, with Amenities being a close second.

• Location

  The property is located in a tranquil location overlooking a canal/backwater. The view during mornings and evenings is very beautiful and serene. The location is calm and quiet and located just at the bank of small canal/backwater which is a plus. The property has a great view of backwaters and you will feel at home as it is completely furnished from living rooms to outdoor. The location is wonderfully chosen beside a river and well built for peaceful stay. The location was so convenient for us. Perfect for doing day trips. The location makes it even more special with lake view on the rear side. The location is relatively close (around 30-45 minutes) to Kumarakom, Alleppey or Marari. A car is perhaps a necessity in order to visit the many attractions nearby. The location is great with lake view on the rear side. The location is in a quiet district.

• Cleanliness

  The house is very well maintained and kept clean. The house is built at an amazing location giving full privacy in the backyard with uninterrupted view of beautiful backwaters surrounding all around. The house is huge and full of antique. The house is beautiful and peaceful and loaded with interesting furnishings, curios, and books. The house is in a tranquil location overlooking a canal/backwater. The house is well equipped and nicely set out with beautiful paintings and features. The house is very clean and felt at home. The house is fully equipped with all amenities at your fingertips. The house had nice collection of furniture and cutlery which was super useful. The house had many thoughtful touches which we really appreciated. The house had loads of bed/bathrooms and a big dining space.

• Food & Dining

  The caretaker/housekeeper cooks good food and is a great chef. The caretaker/housekeeper made the most delicious food for us. We tried new foods while there. The caretaker/housekeeper was excellent, polite, and a great chef. The caretaker/housekeeper Mini does some wonderful cooking. The local supermarket is close to the house and other daily need items are also easily available in the house. The house is well equipped for one to cook. The house had lots of utensils in the kitchen for cooking.

  The property is fully equipped with all amenities at your fingertips. The kitchen is very well equipped and other daily need items are also easily available in the house. The property has a great view of backwaters and you will feel at home as it is completely furnished from living rooms to outdoor. The house had many thoughtful touches which we really appreciated.

• Check-in Experience

  The check-in experience was not that great as the caretaker doesn't understand English or Hindi. The check-in was too hard and we were left helpless. The communication was poor and the caretaker had her own plans to leave the house early. The caretaker started calling around 3 pm to say that we should reach quickly as she needs to leave.
