Hotel Sahiwa

As the hotel renovation work was going on, we were provided a room near main road. From 2:00 to 5:00 pm direct sunlight fell from the window and it was very hot inside the room. Therefore, our son who is only three months old, couldn’t sleep. The curtain was torn and it couldn’t cover the whole window. We requested the hotel receptionist, who was in his mid fifties, to provide us another room. But he wasn’t concerned about our problem. At the end we had to shift to another hotel which was much better. I had to spend another 200rs to shift my luggage. Overall it wasn’t a pleasant stay for us.

To be honest, i like the location of the hotel as it’s just near by his holiness temple and easy to visit around. Bit upset with cleanliness of bed sheet and pillow covers. Other than this service n staff are good.

The property is located right in the market and next to ropeway. The hospitality of the hotel staff is amazing. The rooms are spacious and overall the stay was excellent.

Perfect location in front of main temple

Location of the Hotel is good. Rooms are specious. But can be more cleaner. Specially washrooms. Overall it was a nice stay.

Let me put the review in two parts, pros and cons. 1.Excellent location(just 100 meters from Dalailama Temple and delicious momos) 2.Excellent View(At least for Deluxe Rooms) 3.Serene and Calm(A good half a kilometer away from the chaos of main Chowk) 4.Friendly and Courteous Staff (Room service and food quality both are satisfactory) 5.Last but not the least;Value for money(If anyone can beat this let me know for the future) CONS 1.Room for improvement in Toilets and Maintenance of rooms. 2. Get Modern Guys VERDICT: A big YES, shell out more if you want heaven:)

The rooms were very dirty, after complaining also they were not cleaned properly. Very bad service

Location of hotel is good but maintenance and use of old carpets is a big issue.

Very poor service, dirty room and toilet. No one did clean the room for two days during my stay

Hotel was good and offered great value for money. Service was quick and excellent. Additionally, the location of hotel is great as it is just 100 meters away from Dalai Lama's residence. Definitely recommended!

Next to Dalai Lama Temple and very close to bus stand. The hotel is good for budget travellers, but you get a view only if you take a Deluxe Room.

Hotel is average & location is good. Value for money.

The reception is quite impressive. The hotel is little far from the main square but the view from the terrace of the hotel is really wonderful. You can see the entire mountain range, even the lake of the Pong dam is quite visible from the terrace. Its quite close to H.H Dalai Lama Temple.The room was spacious enough but was not that well-maintained. The seat covers of the chairs were dirty. Washroom was okay and had all the required facilities. The room service was really excellent . The restaurant is also well-maintained. The food was really tasty especially the Non-Veg. Entire staff is cooperative and nice. The rent was bit on higher side being off-season. Overall we are quite satisfied with the hotel and its services and recommend the same to prospective visitors. Yes, one thing I would like to add if the visitors want valley view they will have to spend more coz only Super Deluxe rooms provide you the same.

Very worst maintenance and washroom are not maintained properly. Food is also not good.

The rooms and the bathroom were not upto the mark in cleanliness. I expected at least that to be clean.

The hotel is situated at a very attractive place. The service provided by the staff is excellent.The view from the hotel is very good. They have an excellant cook as the food served by them was very tasty and the service was very good. Just one suggestion that they should change the bedsheet and pillow covers daily and the sheets should be ironed and put it. The toilets were clean. The deluxe rooms are good. The water Supply was good. Hot water was available always. I will rate this hotel as three star.

Hotel is well located, room service of the hotel is very good...But rooms need to be well furnished.

Hotel need maintenance, rooms cleaning & firnishing. Hotel location is excellent, foods was good.
