Good location and vintage feel. Upkeep of property should be better. Not many options for food and the quality could also improve a lot. Overall, good value for money and a central location to explore all tourist spots in Ooty.

KINDLY DON'T BOOK. PEOPLE HERE ARE MISSING BASIC HUMANITY! We paid around night which is quite premium amount and read our real experience below. We had checked into the hotel late evening. It was raining heavily. we ordered food when the same was served we asked for additional chapatis on which we received the answer that we cannot provide you should have ordered in one go. After we had heated conversation they provided us with additional chapatis. This was very disappointing. After which we demanded heater as there was very chilly outside and we were with small baby. They provided us the heater after sometime and then the lights were gone in 1 hour at 11pm at night when enquired they told that the generator was switched off and will not switch on till morning. We asked them we have small child aged 4 year old but they didn't start the generator whole night. We had to sleep in dark. Next day we spoke with some lady and asked whether they can provide power backup whole night on which we received answer from her as stated below "If you want to stay then please stay we will not be providing any power backup. If you want to move out you can we will not be providing any refund you can go to any court in India" When we asked that we have four year child and cannot stay in dark night on which they replied that "You can stay in dark it is not any problem. We dont care about your child" We had to leave the property immediately the next morning. I WILL URGE ANYONE READING THIS SHOULD NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY. THIS IS NOT SAFE AND ANYONE SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS WORST EXPERIENCE.

I stayed at mount view heritage for two days and found the location to be excellent with prompt and pleasing staff and good food. However, there were some areas for improvement, such as the kitchen delivery taking around 1 hour to reach our room. The bathroom had a persistent bad smell, which was temporarily addressed by the manager after we brought it to their attention. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness felt below average, and I'd like to see improvements in these areas to enhance the stay experience.

As compared to price it is nothing . Basic amenities like hot water, wifi not working properly. Hotel feels like haunted movie set rather than a heritage place.

What we check in photos there hotel is not like that and very old hotel it is and lot of mosquitos is there no body caring

The food was good, service was ok but they should provide a room heater because it's a pretty cold place.

PROS: Staff was good and responsive. Bed was good and comfy. Bon fire was available on 1500 extra charges. BBQ was also available for veg and non-veg after charges. Hotel gives city view from height. CONS: Food was oily and was average. Basic things were not already available in room(towel, shower gel), we had to ask for it. But after asking they immediately gave it. Cupboards were pretty old and were not in usable condition.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Mountain View Heritage for a 3 night stay. Property is precisely located in Ooty. Bus stand is hardly 5 min walk and the city view from the Hotel is wonderful. Apart from being little bit costly the stay was worth the trip. Some suggestions for the management is to provide bathroom slippers, set up fire camp at the cost of the management and provide hangers at the rooms. Since there are wooden floors cleaning needs to done on frequent basis. Food provided was satisfactory. Overall a good experience and would rate 4.2/5 for the stay.

the property is lovely even though it is old . it has everything needed for a good stay. food is good too. rooms and bathrooms are huge. staff is very very supportive . they provide cabs as well. surrounding is asthetic. some areas where they can improve is, put cupboards in room or some storage.
