Everything was good. Breakfast was delicious and host madhumita and her husband were always available for any of our needs. Overall we had a good stay

It was a very good experience. The homestay is located in a very peaceful and pleasant neighbourhood. Also, i found the ambiance to be quite to my liking. The room i had, was very roomy and comfortable. It has its own garden which to me was perfect. The owners were very friendly and nice people. The food was also good. The place has a very homey vibe to it and it didn’t at all feel like i was staying in a hotel. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing stay on vacations and tours rather than a noisy commercial hotel. Value for money. Overall, i’m quite satisfied as i had a very good experience.

It has been a very nice stay. We stayed here overnight and the stay was very comfortable. The hospitality was really endearing. At mealtimes, we had long entertaining discussion with uncle (madhumita aunty's husband) who has so many stories of travel experiences across the country. Thanks to his advice, we could save time by visiting the temple on the way from the airport. Food is very homely and aunty's little daughter made really tasty food for us. It was feeling like we were staying in our own home only. Will surely stay here whenever we visit guwahati next time too.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Madhumita’s homestay. We stayed on two occasions – once in the room on the 2nd floor and once in the room on the 3rd floor with the attached terrace. Both our stays were very comfortable. The property facilities and amenities were as described in the listing. The 2nd floor room has a wide variety of books while the 3rd floor room has a terrace with a nice little garden. The property is located in the Jyotinagar area of Guwahati and at a short distance from many of the city’s attractions such as the State Museum, the Planetarium, the Brahmaputra River Heritage Center etc. Madhumita and her spouse run the homestay in an extremely efficient manner. They were always around to provide the necessary support during our stay. We were welcomed on both occasions by Madhumita’s spouse. He even helped us with our bags by carrying some of them up to the rooms. The rooms were comfortably furnished for our family of 4. Breakfast was included complimentary in our stay while Madhumita provided a menu for other meals. We had our dinner on multiple occasions and the food cooked by Madhumita was wonderful and customized to our tastes. The menu pricing was extremely reasonable. Finally, what really made our stay memorable were the wonderful interactions with Madhumita and her spouse. They provided us plenty of suggestions on sightseeing and traveling for our trip plan. They company during our meals and our interactions on various topics were also very pleasing. Madhumita’s homestay is a great option for stays in Guwahati. We definitely look forward to going back during our future visits!

if you are looking for comfortable and a clean place with a warm and friendly environment then this homestay is the one for you . Owners (Madhumita Aunty and her husband) are very warm and humble people . we enjoyed our stay there ☺️😍

This is good for backpackers, not a family. There was no lift, and we had to carry out heavy luggage up three flights of stairs. But the host was warm and welcoming, and easy to talk to.

Staying at madhumita's homestay was an excellent experience, i don't think i could have found a better place to stay during my weekend in guwahati! the location is perfect, it's not too far from the main road and yet it's quiet and peaceful. She prepares an elaborate complementary breakfast and all the meals madhumita cooked were delicious and fulfilling. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and i will definitely stay here longer! )

The home stay is located in a good area. It isn’t too noisy whilst being close to the city. Loved the hosts. They were very friendly and helped me with suggestions of places to visit. The breakfast and dinner served was delicious. I will definitely stay with them when i visit guwahati again.

Madhumitra's homestay is quite and very safe place to stay. Also it is not too far from at road, paltan, fancy and pan bazaar, so the location is perfect for those who are coming for marketing in these markets. Ma'am madhu and her husband were very friendly. The room was very clean and the facilities were more than the budget.

We have enjoyed madhumita's homestay a lot. A room with a garden feels like heaven. Served us with great humility. Felt like home away from home.

Are you looking for a peaceful place to stay, away from the hassle of the city? A place which feel like home? Then don't give a second thought, go for this! The best part of the stay is the garden in the balcony, it feels like some place in Goa😍 the paintings, furnishing and antique collections adds the beauty further. The host is also sweet and kind. The negative part I found in the stay were: 1) the kitchen area was not opened for us, 2) we didn't recieve any assistance in carrying the luggage upstairs. Both of these could be because the host herself was away from the place of stay (but she tried to make it to the best). However, I will choose this place to stay when I visit Guwahati next time :)

Property was on location. Room was clean and peaceful. Hosts were very gentle and understanding. Breakfast was good.

I spent ten days with this amazing joint family, which is very kind, hospitable, full of practical wisdom and useful advice. They can handle, hindi, english, assamia, bengali. Madhumita is truly a super host. Breakfast everyday was different, tasty and home like. A broad collection of books is available. There is plenty of place to park. You can drive right upto the gate. Neighbourhood is quiet. Not too far from city centre. Truly, a home away from home. Hope to return someday soon!

Spacious, homely, good food I and my friends loved the stay.

The stay at Madhumita’s Homestay was really good. We stayed there for 2 nights (one before starting for Meghalaya and the other night, after returning from the trip). I went with my family and each one of us really liked the space. Although, the house is bit off from the main road (5 minutes to main road by vehicle), one would not find any difficulty if having his own vehicle or cab. Madhumita Aunty, the owner of the house is so welcoming and supportive. She has maintained her house really well. We stayed on the top floor wherein in front of the room, there is a small plantation area and this is the heart of the house. The room on the top floor is amazingly spacious and a family of 4-5 members can easily fit in. Just a TV, I felt was missing in the room, but overall it’s a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in. I would love to visit this homestay again if traveling down to Guwahati in future.
