Terrible Stay

The hotel was in remote location. We had to cross umngot river through huge suspension bridge with so much luggage & after crossing the bridge we had to trek through jungle, waterfall & unsafe small wooden bridge which was highly unsafe provided we had a 3 yr old kid. We finally gave up and decided to go back becauae the location looked extremely shady & unsafe for family. We were stranded at night & had to search othwr accomodation. Please provide full refund & compensation for inconvinience

Room is not airy. No fan in room. No breakfast for veg people( only bread. No mineral water. Location is worst.

Just because we don't have extra room for all of you, You gave our listing a very bad review. And yes 100% We (The whole team) really don't appreciate your review. Let me correct you as a caretaker. The whole day we contacted you, just to know whether you are non vegetarian or vegetarian so that we can prepare nicely, but the result was you didn't even receive the call, you didn't even bother to call back, ok that's fine but you know what, when you reach the parking, you brought the whole family. In our listing we mentioned only 2 pax because it's a double occupancy room, but you brought 5 pax including kids. Aren't you already broke the terms and conditions? Please note- this is a wooden cottage, it's not a cement cottage. You know what happens when the cottage is overloaded? But Thank God, we do have an alternative stay (campsite). We instructed you to stay 2 in the tent and 3 in the cottage. But here also you broke our instructions. After 11:13 pm you took the blanket, pillow and tamati mat from the tent and without our permission you moved to the cottage. For the food:- I already mentioned above that we called you but you didn't even bother to pick up the call. For breakfast, I myself the caretaker asked you that in the morning at what time you'll be required the breakfast. You replied - 8 am and you started asking me what kind of breakfast you'll be served? I said, only bread butter/Jam, omelette and tea with some biscuits are available, and you stop you didn't even request vegetarian breakfast or requesting other options, we thought that you'll be happy with that. But in the morning, after we served, suddenly you cancelled it and you said that you don't eat bread, and after a few minutes you start packing up and leave. Yes we don't offer Mineral water, but if you want it, just say it. For the fan:- Sir please, we request you not to give the fault information to the future customers. The fan was already installed when we started receiving guests.

It’s a great place to stay. It was the best experience staying there. Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner, mr. Nang. Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience. I would highly recommend this place and i would definitely want to come back to this place again.

familythe homestay is equivalent to resorts in the major cities in terms of view and service. the owner is more than welcoming and personally attends to each and every tourist. i was travelling with my mother and the stay was perfect. the food was good and lavish. and the place is very hygienic. we snorkelled, kayaked and went on a boat ride, the assistants were in no hurry and they let us spend quality time in the water. the view is spectacular, it is on the banks of the umngot river, the view is worth a million! cannot fail to point out the special attention that has been given to the amenities, there was a kettle, a hair dryer and a geyser and at such a price!

place is in the woods. best place to visit this gawooh adventure homestay is between oct-mar, nov-dec could be best maybe. basically when the water is fully still, the reflection in water is amazing. until sept, water is flowing and hence reflection seen is less. we stayed in wooden cottage. cottage was built but when we visited there was power outage issue. also, mosquito mesh can be put for windows in room and bathroom so that insects/moths don't come in, that will be a good improvement. if you're someone who doesn't bother about the insects, then you can stay here more peacefully. adventure activites are pretty good and the host is very good. gave good suggestions on where all to travel. food is decent, but don't have high expectations. roads in this part of meghalaya were quite bad when we visited in sep last week 2022.

Thanks for the feedback sir. Our property is a part of adventure. Actually no mosquitoes in the property only pests coming from the hills when it rains a lot. That's why we always share the information to the checkin customers that they should control the light in case it rains a lot because this pest always loves to play with bright light and yes during your stay, we can see a bit disappointed because there's a problem with the power supply but we hope we can upgrade this for our lovely customers.
