familyThe hotel location is very good and the property is wonderful for perfect weekend in the wild. Unfortunately there is only one caretaker for the huge property who is responsible for everything starting from cooking to managing cleanliness. The owner was really helpful at the beginning but started arguing when we said the checkout time as per mm t is 12 pm and wanted us to vacate earlier since other guests wanted to check-in early. Completely unacceptable behavior. Would not recommend anyone.

familyIf your looking for a good time away from all the hassles of the city, I recommend them. Would be great if they could add a few more preparations to their menu. The owner and care taker are very nice people. I would go back again.

Nice cozy room

We had opted for the deluxe room. Location is pretty isolated. Didn't find signboards. Had to take the caretakers help who was standing at the gate. View of the mountains from this location is good. Deluxe room was clean and well maintained. Cons: No campfire (we were informed it was forest dept mandate), limited drinking water, Ac isn't there and was not mentioned during booking, kitchen had gas burner but didn't see any induction cooker or gas cylinder, refrigerator had meat in the freezer (wasn't sure about the packed/expiry dates) a food quantity seemed a bit less but it was manageable. Pros: Well ventilated spacious room, nice furniture, glass sliding doors for unhindered view, in house food delivery (dinner/breakfast), 24*7 hot water, clean bathrooms with toiletries and clean towels, kitchen with lot of plates/glasses, lawn, greenery, garden chair, wooden bench and lot of plastic chairs for you to seat and bask in the sun and stare at the mountains and last but not least a pet cat who is very warm and friendly. Things to keep in mind drinking water seems to be an issue in Masinagudi. I was not able to find any RO water purifier. So get 5 liter jars/cans from market, market is bit far and it gets very dark and desolate at night so make sure you have medicines (first aids and basic medicines). ODODMOS/insect repellent if you want to spend some time outdoors post sunset. Mobile internet keeps fluctuating and there is no WiFi so make plans accordingly. Keep some fruits/snacks as a backup.

Very basic room at a 3 star cost

Room was neat. They had 24*7 hot water and a responsive attendant. At night, post 12 pm to you can See herds of deer lazing Around the villa. These are the only pros. The description in the listing had a TV and kitchen. The TV was not working and the owner said he had included it in the description by mistake. The kitchen had only a pipe. There was not even a kettle to boil water. There was a refrigerator which had some meat and bottles of water. Toiletries weren't provided. On request, they gave a few soaps. The towels were torn. There were too many insects in the room. On the first day, we had requested for some coffee and it was terrible. So decided not to have food at the Homestay. Hotels close by did not have good food either. Survived on some snacks from Iyengars bakery near the safari booking office. It was not a satisfying stay. Not Worth.

We appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve the guest experience. We were really disappointed to learn of the shortcomings you experienced and we would like to bring to your notice the steps taken by us regarding the cons you mentioned. 1) two bed room deluxe villa only has the tv and DTH connection. But as you mentioned the standard villa amenities description has it by our mistake. Now, we have amended it accordingly. 2) kitchen facility is not part of the booking. But if you want to utilize it and inform the same in advance we should have organized it with a nominal charge. The description about the kitchen in the amenities has been amended so. 3) same as above for the refrigerator issue you raised, we assure you that this won't happen in future. 4) we are sorry to know that the towels (red colour) provided were torn and they are not the regular one because we provide white Turkey towels only. We have personally addressed this with our housekeeping staff to ensure this won't happen again. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused in this regard. Apart from the above, we would like to bring to your wisdom that 1) toiletries are being provided without the guests asking for it. 2) we came to understand that your driver went out and bought the coffee and other food items from outside. But, why you mentioned that the coffee we provided was terrible when you have not had coffee or anything from us. 3) some ants or other small insects will be there since our property lies in the jungle area. While we wish you had a better experience, it is apparent in your case, we fell short. We request you to visit us again to enjoy the most memorable vacation with us.

Overall good stay

It was a very excellent place in the middle of the jungle area full of greenery. The caretaker was there for taking care of everything and he was a very supportive person, we had food which was expensive and we have got all the facilities except the kitchen. Though it was a 2 bedroom villa, a kitchen was available which was not in usable condition. I can recommend others.
