i recently had the pleasure of staying at the chocolate box hotel, and i must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment i stepped into the charming lobby, i was greeted with warm smiles and a delightful aroma of chocolate wafting through the air. The hotel's interior design is simply enchanting, with every detail tastefully incorporating elements of chocolate. The rooms are beautifully decorated and exude a sense of elegance and comfort. The plush beds and luxurious linens ensured a restful night's sleep, and the chocolate-themed amenities provided a unique touch. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional customer service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. It was a calm and satisfying stay here. The owner uncle is himself involved, and guides you through very well, good food, the greatest part is the strategic location, everything is very near from here.

The hotel is located just opposite dal lake ghat no 12 which makes it centrally located to most of the attractions within the city. The rooms are spacious and clean. We ordered breakfast during our stay and it was delicious and the quantity was also good. The highlight of this hotel is its owner mr lateef. He will be there to help you with all your needs and will give you all the information required to make your stay memorable.

Dal lake is 20 Metre away, prime location and excellent room. The owner (real gentlemen) makes your stay homely. 🌟will highly recommend this place.

This place is run by an old man and his one single staff who does literally everything- room cleaning to serving breakfast. We had booked chocolate box for 3 nights and 4 days in April 2022- our room was in the corner despite requesting for a room change for added charges, we were refused-saying that all rooms were booked for the next 3 months. An totally unnecessary - we could see the rooms lying empty on both floors. On the very first day we were asked what we'd like for breakfast - the options given were ' veg' or 'non veg' - we chose non veg expecting a few options - we were given an egg sandwich on all 3 mornings. No other dish was available. Our geyser ran down on one of the three days making the bathroom unusable - no hot water, the commode was under the geyser - no toilet; yet lat-if couldn't give us another room as they were all 'booked. Two out of the 3 mornings, the single helper had to get us hot water in a bucket to our dingy room. Really makes no sense to choose to this place - only upside is the view. It's right opposite dal lake.

Location of the property is just opposite to dal lake. Serves delicious poha in the breakfast but room size too small with no lake/garden view. Wardrobe of no use, not even proper lighting.

The owner is not at all cooperative, no facilities in room according the room charges which is so high. Rooms are fine, but facility in the room not at all upto the mark. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks

Stayed in this hotel for 5 days

I completely enjoyed the stay here! absolutely comfortable and cozy place with a great, very hospitable vibe and a wonderful host!

Great place to stay with very good facilities and extremely amiable hosts.

It is a pathetic hotel. The staff is unfriendly. The bathrooms were dirty, cable connection was erratic, the staff asked us to call the owner to get the bathroom cleaned. An AC was installed but you have to pay Rs 500 extra to avail it. The owner went on to say that if the TV was not working, it was not his problem but that of the cable guy! Thanks to Makemytrip which got our three-day stay cancelled within 30 min-1 hour of our complaint. MMT refunded our money.

We have booked an AC room but the AC did not work & even geyser. Had to Bath with cold water. Apart from this, other services were just OK. Only advantage is the location of the property which is very near to Dal lake. It is also near to major attractions in Srinagar like Sankaracharya Temple, Nehru park, Botanical Garden, Tulip Garden etc.

The hotel is right on the Dal lake with lots of tourist activities around and seems bit busy place. The hotel has all the basic in room facilities (don't expect hot water/ tea kettle and other luxurious bits) and decent common hotel space. Overall good room for short/ overnight stay and definitely value for money. The staff is very polite and helpful. Note: Be mindful of food you order. We have had a very good breakfast but not so good dinner at the hotel. But it could be just one off experience.

The location of the hotel is the biggest advantage. The rooms are equally good too. I suggest to ignore the size of the property. The rooms on the first floor have a beautiful view of the Dul lake and are better than those in the ground floor. It is located just beside the passport office hence fully secured as well.

The hotel is very good and the quality of food was also good. The staff was also very supportive. The location place is also good it's in the prime location that is Dal lake in Srinagar. I hope everybody should enjoy this place as well as this hotel.
