Villa Mon cheri

This was a classy stay (with so many heritage pieces kept to bring the essence), everything was arranged so perfectly. The open space in middle of the villa make it so comfy and cute spot for a chill gathering The host was so polite and welcoming.

The stay is conveniently located within walking distance of all the main attractions, and the property is well-maintained with good service. However, I did notice some waterlogging, which is a common issue in the city, and a nearby chicken farm that caused disturbances during early morning sleep. Overall, I didn’t feel the stay was worth the price given the condition of the premises.

I really enjoyed the stay. There was no disturbance. Even the help was available all the time. I really appreciate it.

I had a wonderful experience at Vill Moncheri! The character of the place is truly charming, with excellent attention to detail in its design and ambiance. The rooms were neat, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and relaxing stay. The surroundings were beautifully kept, adding to the serene atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind!

Everything and everyone were really great, appreciate the effort of the hosts. Had a great experience at the hotel, the room was really clean and cozy. A big yes for everyone who's traveling to pondicherry. The wifi was not that stable otherwise 10/10.

Ac was not effective in the room so many mosquitoes there is no value for customer when requested for late check out

The checkin time is 2 pm here which is terrible. We reached the hotel at 12 pm, they did not allow us inside at all. The room was empty and still they did not allow us jn. The owner doesn’t have humanity at all. If the room is occupied, the it’s understandable. But they made us wait for 2 hrs outside because the checkin time is 2 pm. Why should they be so strict with the timing? we were even ready to pay him extra, still he didn’t let us in. They charge 3200 for the deluxe room. And what the hell will happen if he let us checkin early? they didn’t even change bed sheets and towel. They had put on stinky bed sheets on the bed. 2 days later when we asked them to give new towels, they said washed towels are not available.

I booked this vintage villa for 2 nights stay in pondicherry in july. Below is the detailed review. 1. There is no clear marking of the villa name on the road or on the building. So once you have reached the map location, look for an orange building with a balcony with a marking ‘18’ outside. 2. You will have to carry your luggage yourself to your room (i had my laptop in my hand, a hand bag, a backpack and a suitcase but the young caretaker did not even offer to help me with my luggage to the first floor. 3. The caretaker does not stay at the property so before reaching make sure to call him for a smooth check in. (i had to wait for 40 mins after reaching there to find his number and then call him) 4. There are too many mosquitoes, so make sure to carry a mosquito repellent cream or a spray. The property provides you with an allout but that doesn’t help. 5. There is a kitchenette and you have to fill your water bottle yourself. 6. The bed is a small queen size one so would barely fit two people 7. It is conveniently located at 1 km away from the beach and is 200 m away from the market. There are so many good eateries around all at walkable distance. 8.
