The Xanadu Birkenhead

The property is located a bit far from the city centre, but it’s on a hilltop with a beautiful view. The food was good and tasty — special thanks to Chef Basant for preparing delicious meals. Overall, a peaceful and pleasant stay!

Excellent stay experience at the Xanadu Birkenhead villa. Had booked the entire villa wiyh 2 bed rooms for the stay. Location is perfect, cut off from the town, excellent view of hillside, and in the midst of nature. Recommend people to book a cab wnd to end for the stay from Madurai. Staff is very courteous. Cook is excellent and cooks exactly as per needs and on time. Games room was excellent for kids, common for both Xanadu properties. Hot water was available readily, heater/blower available in rooms though mightn't be adequate for the temperature. They had big umbrellas available for guests to take along for the daytime as needed. Birkenhead has their main office, and Meghadoot is a bit ahead. There is one covered car parking and other cars can park on the approach road. Overall, an amazing experience.

We stayed with our 2 kids. This place has very beautiful landscape and view. The caretaker and cook are very good people and great hospitality. The homestay provides every things you need and very neat and hygienic. Kids enjoyed the play amenities.

The stay was excellent, the team was warm, the location, the views, amenities and approach was excellent ! the food was not really something to write home about, but the north indian food was amazing, plan for at least a few days to stay at the property itself and spend time lounging around !

Stay was good and staff and food was very good

Our stay was for 2 nights. We booked the villa. It had a dining room plus living room area. One bed room with a king size bed and another bed room with two single beds. There was a room heater available. The kitchen is attached but accessible to the chef only. The food was awesome. We need to give the choices of food earlier on. It was prepared hot and served promptly. The caretaker helped us out when we had a car tyre issue. He came with us all the way down to the shop and personally helped solve it. Mr. Rahul, the caretaker was helpful throughout our stay and ensured our safety as well. Both our chefs were excellent. Mr tilak needs a special mention as well. The view from the room was awesome. The toiletries and facilities were good. Hot water was available throughout. The situation is on top of the highest locale. The only con was the approach road to the villa which was not tarred and was on construction. ( though the last one km stretch. It is near to town as well and accessible to attractions like bryant park, cookers walk, lake etc. We enjoyed our stay.
