My Disappointing Experience I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. At the time of check-in, the staff insisted that we must show a marriage certificate in order to stay together — something I have never been asked at any reputable hotel before. Despite clearly informing them that she is my wife, they repeatedly questioned us in a manner that was both rude and embarrassing. I even showed them our wedding photographs, yet the staff continued to behave as if we were doing something wrong. This was not only unnecessary but also deeply humiliating for both of us. A hotel should ensure the comfort and dignity of its guests, not put them through such discomfort and mistrust. This experience completely ruined the purpose of our visit, and I genuinely felt disrespected. I sincerely hope the management trains their staff better, understands basic hospitality norms, and stops imposing unreasonable demands that cause embarrassment to genuine guests. Until then, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a respectful and hassle-free stay.

Property located in a peaceful place. Foods are really average in taste. The services part is poor. They charge a bottle of package drinking water at Rs.118. Bar is disappointing and overall a below average stay.

The stay at the hotel was really pleasant and Mr. Robin took extremely good care of us. The rooms were of large size which could easily accommodate 3 people. Especially my daughter loved it a lot.

We stayed at India Benares Hotel, Varanasi for 3 nights and had a very comfortable experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, making our stay pleasant and relaxing. The complimentary breakfast was really good, offering a wide spread that catered to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. A special mention for the staff and their prompt service — they were always courteous and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, a great stay and wonderful hospitality. Thank you to the entire team at India Benares Hotel for making our trip memorable!
