Solo Simran Arcade |Rooms in a Homestay

The room was pretty ugly. A lot of stain marks here and there on curtains and all. There was a lack of water for few min at midnight. Amenities like towels were not provided. There was only a tiny bar of soap on the bed.Then fan on the room was not working well it was very slow.

Sorry to say that ,Ian really disappointed that the room and their services.Its really bad .There is no responsible persons to attend anything .Even no proper services are available as mentioned in make my trip web site .I will give 1 Star to this hotel

I had a truly pleasant experience at Solo Simran Arcade Homestay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a very comfortable atmosphere throughout my stay. They ensured I felt welcome and taken care of at all times. From the smooth check-in to their quick response to requests, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine hospitality. The location was convenient, and the overall vibe of the homestay was peaceful and homely. I found the property location through make my trip application. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with reasonable price. Room was immaculately clean and well-maintained The property also located very near to kadavanthra metro station.

Worst Experience Ever – Avoid This Hotel! I had the most HORRIFIC experience with this hotel. I had booked and paid for my stay, only to receive a call last minute, at 8:30 PM when I reached Ernakulam, that due to “maintenance issues,” my booking was shifted to Solo Hotels & Homes (North Block, Kumaranasan Nagar). What followed was nothing short of a nightmare. They gave me a dirty, cramped, unclean room—a far cry from what I had booked. No shower, a filthy bucket, and to make matters worse, the staff was unbelievably RUDE. When I went to complain, I was met with arrogance and total disregard. They treated me like a nuisance, not a guest. The staff were basically acting like thugs, telling me if I didn’t like it, I could leave! Imagine being stranded in a new city, late at night, and being spoken to like that. When I asked for a refund, they blatantly refused. No empathy, no solution, just “go out if you don’t want it,” as if throwing me out at 1 AM was their way of solving a problem. I ended up having to leave and go stay with a relative in the middle of the night. I LOST my money, my peace of mind, and my trust in this place. This is more than just a bad experience—this was the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. To anyone considering this hotel, be warned. I wouldn’t wish this treatment on anyone.

I recently stayed at solo simran arcade primarily because of its proximity to the ielts idp center in kochi, which is about 1 km away. Though it’s walkable, i chose to take an uber, but that’s a personal preference. The property itself is well-maintained, with rooms that are in good condition. However, the bed and mattress quality could be improved, as i could feel the bed's supporting structure, which was a bit uncomfortable. Despite this, the staff, particularly a young, friendly manager who's a recent hotel management graduate, made the stay pleasant. One aspect to note is that food delivery isn't available directly to your room. You'll have to go downstairs to collect your order. It's a minor inconvenience but something to be aware of. On a positive note, they were accommodating with visitors; my friend was allowed to briefly visit after showing his id, which was reassuring. The amenities, like the air conditioning, were reliable and uninterrupted, a welcome feature that isn't always a given in other hotels. The bathroom facilities were decent, with hot water available, and basic toiletries like soap and towels were provided, along with a complimentary bottle of water. One of the highlights for me was the location. It's set away from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a quiet and peaceful environment, which i really appreciated. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, particularly with the bedding, my stay was comfortable, and the quiet location was a major plus.

Rooms were average. Not that hygienic. Changed my room twice. Location is bad too. No hot water available in the morning.
