Hello Sumit, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay. However, we’d like to provide some context for other readers. During your visit, your group brought a gas cylinder and cooking utensils and began cooking meat in our common outdoor area — which is strictly not allowed as per hostel safety rules. Unfortunately, this was done without seeking any permission from the staff. This led to an uncomfortable situation when our pet dog, Sky — a friendly part of our hostel family — was naturally drawn to the smell. Some remarks that you made about Sky in front of other guests, who are very fond of her, led to a disagreement between you and the 2 female guests. We want to clarify that the 2 women involved were fellow travelers and not part of the hostel team, though they’ve been staying with us long-term and care deeply for the space. We always aim to create a safe and respectful environment for everyone, and we encourage all guests to kindly communicate with the hostel team directly if any concerns arise during their stay. It was a great experience and a comfortable stay at Safar, The best part was the human touch and friendly atmosphere which is hard to find nowadays. Will surely recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful stay away from the city chaos.

Amazing overall experience

The overall experience was pretty amazing, the hostel was beautifully decorated the interior of the private room was just amazing plus the added advantage of sky and max and last but not the least the food which was delicious. The host ali was super helpful and friendly, he also took us to a riverside trek which was surreal and we were lucky enough to see heavy snowfall. The hostel is just a few mins walk away from old manali bridge and i would recommend this stay to everyone.

As I understand, you asked for food at night, way beyond the closing hours of the Kitchen and in an attempt to help you out, one of our new staff members served food after the kitchen had closed, and while we understand he was making an effort to accommodate your request, it seems there was a lapse in our usual quality checks. Please know that we take these matters extremely seriously and this is a one of a kind situation that we have ever encountered in Safar. We are addressing this with our team to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Regarding our location, Safar is tucked away in the hills to provide uninterrupted views of the beautiful mountains in Manali , which does involve climbing about 30 stairs. We understand this might not suit everyone, and we’re exploring ways to make access more convenient. I had my first solo trip and i chose manali, so i went through mm t for affordable and nice hostels, and i came across safari hostel and the experience was amazing. The host was very welcoming and the people were amazing too. The night jamming session was great i had a fun experience and will definitely come again.

Safar hostel manali is a good place for solo travelers and backpackers. The beds are very clean and comfortable. It is in a quiet area but close to mall road. The hostel has bonfire nights where you can meet other travelers. The neighborhood is safe, even at night, so you can walk around and enjoy the local area.

coupleIt was a great stay no doubt about that. Everything that is shown in instagram or google images are an exact representation of this beautiful stay. Staff were very helpful kudos to them. Highly recommended. Ps : if you have a knee problem it would be difficult to reach as there are fine number of stairs to reach the hostel.
