Saj By The Lake

The property is extremely beautiful, right from the rooms to the lawns and the beautiful view of the lake ahead. The staff is warm and has great hospitality. However there were some issues we faced. The property is undergoing renovation and presently has only the lake side cafe open. Their main restaurant Maati Bani is closed. Also the bar is closed so they aren’t serving any alcohol. Now these were two major disappointments as we had travelled all the way there to celebrate a birthday. They are serving the menu of maati bani at the lake view cafe but the cafe’s infra is in a sorry state. The tables are in bad shape and are wobbly. The weather was pleasant and like I said earlier the staff is amazing and very warm so you let go of the shortcomings. But would have loved if the listing has the updates of the renovations and closed bar so one can make an informed decision while booking. However the rooms are top notch, very very clean and welcoming! The property definitely deserves a visit, maybe once the renovations are done.

Stay at Saj by the lake was superb. Before booking this property I was not very sure how will it be. I went through the reviews though most of them were positive but some were negative too.. But when I went tor weekend i was amazed.. What a place, all surrounded by the beauty.. Mountains and lake.. Nature at its best.. Room were neat and clean and staff served their best.. We had a peaceful stay with the awesome food which they serve.. I would recommend this place if you are looking for peaceful stay and good food.

We tried both courtyard and lake view rooms and the experience was really good in both. Lake view rooms are slightly expensive but comes with a lot of amenities and definitely an amazing view of the property and the lake. Saj has many outdoor activities to keep you occupied and entertained. We also tried the boating and it was really nice. The food is top notch, both veg and non veg. Really really loved the food here. Overall a great place to visit!

Well located property- surrounded by mountains and by the lake side, lovely lake view from rooms. Food was good, though some dishes and drinks were not available as the location is far from major cities and hence they were out of stock. swimming pool was clean. Staff is helpful. Good are to walk in nature. The property is getting expanded so some construction work is on going, doesn’t bother guests though. Overall good stay experience.

Superb stay..very comfortable rooms(mountain view as rest were sold out!)...super courteous staff...food was tasty and fresh and food portions were large! Walking distance to the Lake makes it unbeatable locations and u have bicycles to take there...my suggestions-dont give plastic mineral water,give water in glass bottle and put clothes hooks on the bathroom door!! Rest everything is great including swimming pool

The property is built at the perfect spot with a spectacular view. The rooms are also quite decent with all the basic amenities. The resort has good food and nice vibes. overall perfect relaxing space to give yourself a break from a hectic life. The only things that can be improved are cycles, which are kept for riding, and food is a bit more expensive than usual.

Amazing location and lawns. A-la-carte was good. Buffet food quality can improve. Room quality like mattress, towels needs to improve for sure. They are not worth the price. Staff is very well trained and well behaved. Special mention for Akash and Saheb Rao for their good service.

Beautiful property, nicely done the brickwall structure around the rooms. Food also very good, rooms are neat and clean.

The Report was near and clean breakfast was really good Note : Their Chinese food was pathetic it was not fresh and the taste of triple sezwan rice was like masale bhat.. And looks overcharged as per quantity

It's a good property with an excellent location. Service is attentive and warm. Food especially the local dishes is hearty, with generous portion sizes.

One of the memorable trips... will come again, towards end of the rainy season. Complete 3 days 2 night of relaxing... good ambience and more importantly great people and they guide you around the property and nearby attractions and good food too

location is beautiful as it is surrounded by mountains and has a beautiful lake (backwaters of a dam). Staff is extremely friendly and if you love traditional maharashtrian food then you must try it at their restaurant.

Overall it’s good experience. Location, food and amenities decent. Went there during peak season weekend so rates were higher but yeah it’s worth

Nestled amidst serene nature ,mountain and lake the property is worth visiting.Food is good, staff is friendly ,they try to make you feel at home.Rooms are clean well maintained.Overall had a wonderful stay.
