Hotel Banalata

The location is excellent- around 10km from Bishnupur, along the State highway. Resort is nice, meant for budget stay. Don’t expect luxury. Room is small, clean with effective air conditioning. Bathroom clean, no hooks/rods for hanging clothes or towel( rather surprising that such a minor thing is not provided). Tables provided in the verandah in which you can have your meals or you can walk to the restaurant. Staff available to serve you, local villagers with helpful attitude. Wide variety of food available, emu, ostrich or quail meat( mis-spelt “koyel” in the menu card!!). Non-veg dishes rather oily. Fish preparation excellent, so was the mango chutney. They do have a dormitory for drivers.

Our stay at banalata resort was an absolute delight! nestled beside the serene joypur jungle, the resort offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and comfort. The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, providing a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff was incredibly hospitable, always ready with a warm smile and helpful suggestions. The food was a culinary journey through bengal, with each dish more delicious than the last. Whether it was the flavorful curries or the fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, every meal was a treat. We especially loved the mud huts, which gave us a charming village feel. Banalata resort is truly a gem, and we can't wait to visit again!

Location - bit outskirt. Suitable for those who want serenity, less crowded place who are travel-ling by own car. Food - quality is good, bit pricey. Hygiene- is ok type. You have to take initiative to make it cleaner but requesting them as per your standard. Good thing is they will do it. But plenty of flies are there. Safety standard- ok as security is there and attendant available for 24 hours. But few thing i would like to say 1. No medicine shop or hospital around. 2. Far from city 3. One time, one day visit is enough. 4. Hotel car is pricey 5. Staffs are good.

Good room, good food, good staffs, good ambience, good arrangements for livestock and cultivating vegetables and fish from resort's pond. But room rent costly - for 3 person price will be ok.

Spent a lovely day in the lap of nature, and enjoyed nice food

Its a peaceful place to visit as an recreational visit, sorrounded by joypur forest offering a secluded retreat if you explore it.

this was an amazing experience.. everything like staff behaviour service and location are simply awesome. for a comfortable stay banalata would be the first choice for me.
