It is a boutique property with just 17 rooms and is comparable to any international five star Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group) chain wrt hospitality, housekeeping, in-room dining experience, spa services, food quality and variety etc. Manager krishna is an outstanding employee. He demonstrates highest quality of professionalism but in a very friendly manner. He is a local and knowledgeable resource to know cuisines, restaurants and places to visit. This property could endevour to make hot water available in the bathroom 24 hours.

My stay at Ri Kynjai in Shillong was nothing short of magical. The breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and Umiam Lake were mesmerizing, making every moment feel like a retreat into nature’s beauty. The entire property exuded serenity, offering a peaceful escape from the world. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive . Every interaction was genuine, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. The food was exceptional, with a menu that perfectly complemented the local flavors and atmosphere. Ri Kynjai is truly a haven of tranquility—a perfect blend of natural beauty, impeccable hospitality, and an unforgettable experience.

SERENITY by the lake, As their name suggests. --- If doing NOTHING is your definition of vacation than this is the best place to cutoff from the world and even do complete digital detox. This place has a old world charm unlike plush Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group)s you'd find in other holiday destinations. Rooms feels a bit old yet cosy. Bed mattress is saggy and can give backache for some. Staff is good and great at service. Food taste is good can't say great. Worth trying.once. Might not be the top choice again in my bucket list of vacation destinations.

Ri kynjai was everything we hoped for. We wanted a quiet day after a month full of wedding chaos. It was the perfect getaway for us as we were in guwahati at that time. The service was excellent, the staff was very courteous and non-intrusive, the food in the restaurant was amazing, and what an amazing breakfast! i'd highly recommend getting one of the cottage suites. The view from that cannot be described in text. You just have to be there.

The property is located in a beautiful geographical landscape amid-st wilderness and beside the barapani lake. The view of the lake from the resort and our room is mesmerising. The interior of the resort is tastefully done. One can have a joyous and idulging retreat. Service was prompt and the staff were cordial. Food is good. The tariffs of the rooms are a tad high. Overall its a must visit place.

Excellent stay with awesome spacious rooms. Food was awesome with custom made meals for kids. Good spread with tasty food options at breakfast. Staff is super courteous and prompt service. Must visit place during the rains. Room 1 & 2 superior room category have best views of the lake.

Plush property... came here with family took the lake view cottage with jacuzzi... kid enjoyed a lot... The view is beyond comparison and majestic... Food is also good quality. Thanks to Sanjeev Mishra for catering to our food needs as we are pure vegetarian... good experience

View of lake from cottage is amazing. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Only thing is that the location of the Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group) is at 1 hour distance from Shillong city. Overall it was a nice stay.
