It's all about Ri Kannan from my stay experience

The Ri Kannan is an excellent hotel for stay near Shillong. The service and response of staff is prompt. They have a small water fall behind/within the hotel and is covered with a small mountain. This restaurant area is also so clean. The item ordered were served on time. Overall it was an excellent stay. Would surely recommend to visitors this place.

Location was good and the atmosphere also as it's covered by nature but I'm not happy with the food at all. It's pathetic. It's not eatable.

We have enjoyed stay in this resort. The food was good and the hotel management is very helpful. This resort has a picture perfect waterfall and a small trek path. Over all we had a great time staying at this place.

Do not order food

The food was worst. It was not fresh and I ate it just because I was hungry and I had not other option at 11 pm in the night. Besides the bad quality and taste of the food, the food menu is also expensive which makes you feel that the food they prepare must be something special. But it is the other way round. I complained about the food to the waiter and to the manager at the reception but all they did was to say okay Go to this hotel as the location is good (if not awesome) but take your food from outside. Do not order the food.

Outstanding location, big clean rooms, good food. There is a waterfall and a small river (full of water) within the property. Spend a day just roaming around the property, taking photos, videos, you will love it. Another important information, this is outside Shillong city, but very near to Shillong airport, so book this for you last night in Shillong trip. Cab will take 15-20 mins to reach the airport.

Perfect resort to spend a peaceful holiday

groupNice, well maintained, spacious rooms with clean washrooms. The resort is a view point itself. A waterfall and a river is within the resort premises. The hotel is near Umiam Lake. Location is a bit away from the city, so one can have a peaceful stay. The only drawback is the food is horrible. The hotel is on the highway away from the city, so no eat outs are nearby.
