I recently had the pleasure of staying at Raas Chhatrasagar, and it was nothing short of magical. Nestled beside a serene reservoir near Nimaj in Rajasthan, this luxury tented camp offers a unique blend of rustic charm and high-end comfort. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality. The location itself is breathtaking—overlooking a tranquil lake with views that stretch across the countryside. It’s the perfect setting for peace, reflection, and reconnecting with nature. The tents are beautifully designed: spacious, immaculately clean, and elegantly furnished, combining traditional Rajasthani touches with modern amenities. Waking up to birdsong and sipping tea on the private veranda while watching the sunrise over the lake was an experience I won’t forget. The food deserves special mention—every meal was freshly prepared using local ingredients, and the flavors were authentic and delicious. The team accommodated dietary preferences without any hassle. What makes Raas Chhatrasagar stand out is its dedication to sustainable tourism and preserving the natural habitat. The guided nature walks and birdwatching sessions were informative and enjoyable, led by knowledgeable local naturalists.

We had a truly excellent and relaxed holiday at RAAS Chhatra Sagar in Pali district. What a location! The property is stunningly situated right on a dam wall, with luxurious tents overlooking a vast, serene water body. The tents themselves are extra luxurious and beautifully appointed, with a private balcony that offers uninterrupted views of the dam waters - perfect for morning chai and bird watching. And the birdlife is incredible. The large water body attracts a huge variety of birds. There is so much to do - kayaking, boating and guided bird watching - or you can do nothing at all, which is equally tempting. The stone-walled swimming pool next to the restaurant, shaded by large trees, is a beautiful spot to unwind. The restaurant has an excellent chef. I would highly recommend the Junglee Maas and Laal Maas - absolutely outstanding. The bar is also very well stocked.

It took us about 3 hours and 45 minutes to reach the location by car from Jaipur. By any standard — location, ambience, accommodation, dining, service, safety, or cleanliness — everything was simply exceptional! That said, I personally feel the place is slightly overpriced, perhaps by around 20%. But then, hospitality of this caliber, especially in such a remote setting, does come at a premium. The best part is — you truly enjoy, unwind, and leave with wonderful memories

An amazing offbeat location, beautiful property by the lake and in the midst of a forest. A thrill for bird watchers as well as anyone looking for a peaceful vacation. If you're planning a long stay, food options are a bit limited, but can request the chef to make something out of the menu.
