Excellent views, large rooms and magnificent interiors. Centralised heating could add charm to property.

I visited this beautiful property with my parents in early october and it was the best decision ever. Given how properties in the hills barely have any space around them, this was a welcome surprise as it had a nice courtyard overlooking the hills. The location is away from the hustle bustle of the market but just about in its vicinity in case you want to grab a bite. Add to it the beautiful pathway that lets you take a stroll with the monks all night long. The caretakers were really helpful and accommodated a lot of our requests including a mid night check in without any fuss. The food was just the ghar ka khana vibe you need. Although, since i went with parents - the walk upto the property did make it a bit difficult for them. For younger groups it's ideal though for the sense of adventure and peace both - also the house can accommodate a good 15-20 people easy so it genuinely is perfect!

The property is located at a very nice place. Amazing hill view & peaceful. Approach road is slightly tricky.

Pros- If you want a place peaceful and want to see nature view you can visit this place. Housekeeper is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast prantha was good but breakfast for couple would cost high per meal which serves prantha curd pickle and tea. Property was very clean and well maintained. Parking facility is there. Cons- need a vehicle to go out and after 7-8 its to deserted road. Cost is little high according to service if compare with hotels but yea if you want no crowd around you, it is a place to visit. No soaps, tooth brush, water bottles etc other hotels facilities are missing. Other notes- Early check in charges are applicable.

Staff was not there to listen in night. Electricity cut for 15 mins.

Enjoyed The trip at Villa, front view is super, but parking space is not enough to Park easily. Connecting Road to Villa is also to congested. Overall comfortable stay with food quality. Food charged bit higher.

It is runs as a guest house and not a hotel. The bathrooms are not very clean, tiles are dirty, showers are defective. Many nights in the room were not functional, including the electric tea kettle. The food menu pricing is quiet on the higher side. Overpriced room tariffs.

Both location and service was perfect. Staff was cooperative and arranged everything that we asked for. Just one problem - your Mobile won’t work in that location

Hotel in a remote area. Just behind Dalai Lama temple. Nothing surrounding. And cost too much as per facility

Nice Hotel and clean room good location. Food is very tasty and staff is vary nice. Balcony location is very good. Value of money this hotel is near to the market and also near to the lama temple

The behaviour of staff was not at all cordial. And there was no telephone signal available. Simply over rated hotel. The beds and all were not comfortable. It appeared that they were only interested in making money and were not bothered with customer satisfaction.

It's more of a homestay than a hotel but the staff here is extremely polite and really want to appreciate the caretaker pawan. Loved the home cooked food and home decor. Only negative point is its connectivity from main market. 10 mins walk to the market is a bit secluded, rest everything is amazing!

The steep slope is tricky, plus there's no street lighting, to add to which the stray dogs are a nuisance at night ... You can't walk alone to your hotel without being harassed by the dogs. Everything else is great. Pawan is a great go-to man for all your needs. PS: Hellova view!

Upon finding the place (Buddha Temple road), we saw the villa basking atop the hill. Absolutely beautiful! And when we had an issue with the room, we were immediately taken care of, which was very nice.The rooms were clean and the bathroom was very clean! Hot water was available, and all amenities were provided. Very good feel to stay in the villa. Our experience there on was simply fantastic. I couldn't find any other place that had as good a garden, a view, and rooms. It was certainly the best choice. Pawan ji and Joginder ji took good care of us. It felt like home, as we had a personal connect with them, and with others who stayed in the neighboring rooms. The master bedroom has a supreme feel. I suggest you book that for the best experience. The others also are very good. And the view is of course there from the common hall as well. Lovely experience. Definitely recommended.

I selected this hotel after Reading good reviews. Hotel is 10 mins walking distance from Dali lama temple. Room was very spacious and comfortable. There is a small kitchen and they prepare food according to your ordered. I felt uncomfortable while going back to hotel at night as this is situated on steep street and lighting was not that good. I was not expecting so much of darkness. Facilities are not great and security is not at all good. Though I liked the view from the hotel. Staff (only 2 people) were willing to help. Food prepared by them was decent. I can give 6 out of 10.

A beautiful villa, strategically located away from the hustle of the main market but is still close enough to reach the hustle with a short walk. The walk is through a relatively empty road with less cars honking right into your ears. The villa is extremely close to the monastery, which is one of the reasons why you can enjoy the sounds of the hills and the beautiful view of the valley. The staff is very considerate and will keep out of your way unless you need something. Since our bus reached mcleod at 6 they let us use the room from 6 itself despite a 2pm check-in. The checkout time is 12:00pm, but if you are taking a bus which leaves at 6:00pm rest assured they will understand your woe and let you keep the luggage in the villa while you spend time hogging a few more momos or buying a few more things. They can arrange Cabs for you as well, should you need one. The rooms are spacious and clean, with T. Vs which have almost all channels subscribed to. It is a home away from home, which lets you relax and enjoy your trip the way you want to.

Hotel is located on the parikrama Marg of the monastery, has the view of the valley. Rooms were clean yet the premises was smelly. Food was below average but the manager and the staff was very friendly and happy to help.
