third class hotel, there is no proper entrance, No room service, Ac is not working properly..very bad experience.

The property is very bad they don't have working AC and don't follow any make my trip policy

Hotel Ashoka Bhavan is an average stay. Corridor had lots of wooden pieces as if it has been used for a very long time and same is the case with room too. Room was big and spacious but had to get room and bathroom cleaned. Not recommended for family. For one night single person stay is ok.

When my family visited this hotel in Madurai they were horrified with the condition the hotel was. The room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, the curtains the bedsheets and the doors too were dirty. Basically everything was inhabitable.

Hotel is under renovation. Stayed for 3 days. Why are they taking bookings. Located at walking distance from Periyar bus stand. Very suitable location. Food is superb. Service people not available. Fresh towels and toiletries provided. Very poor on neatness. House keeping, cleaning not done.

Hotel condition is pathetic. No hygiene. No cleaning or helping staff. No lift. Unclean rooms. No cleaning inspite of telling them to clean the room. Checked in at 6p. M against time of 2p. M.

None of us slept because of mosquitoes and the room was also dirty.The window screen was in such a condition that it was full of spider web.Not at all worth for money

There were so many mosquitoes in the room. The family was not able to sleep the whole night due to mosquitoes.

I booked this lodge . This lodge is the worst I have seen in my life. They have a restaurant at ground fkoor and five rooms in the first floor. All the rooms are in a dilapidated state reminding us of some horror movie. Old ineffective Air conditioners, dark bath rooms with no door handles, walls with peeling off plasters and dust everywhere. Broken furniture with uncleaned sofa revealed that they do not do any maintenance at all. There was nobody to get the water jug filled with water for us. Very unfriendly manager and staff. There was intercom but was not in working condition. Electrical plug points were found broken and unusable. Very unhygenic bath room, toilet and the entire ambience. Corrider outside the room was totally unclean with trashes scattered at both the ends. Staircase leading to the first floor rooms was unclean and dark and used for storing some unwanted bags. Bath room and toilet walls were found coated with oil to mask the salt formation on the wall tiles. Since the AC was not effective, we were given another room at 10.00 p. m without any basic cleaning. This room proved to be worse than the earlier one. It was a nightmarish experience to stay in this lodge. Food in the restaurant was so bad and not edible. Only booking guys are getting deceived and trapped to book this kind of lodges. Otherwise no local fellow with knowledge will hire rooms in Ashok Bhavan which was infamous for its food once upon a time. I give zero rating for my stay here and warn all people not to book this lodge .All are jointly cheating the innocent travellers.

excellent hotel. old one renovated. but for the price of 1800 this is the best. they got open car parking but still it's good at this locality

It is a budgetry lodge type stay. Rooms are average quality. Room cleaning issues. If you prefer north indian food than that might have issues there for quality.

it's not a big hotel, but room was neat and clean. it was value for money for overnight staying. staff was helpful.

All good expected little more hygiene bed sheets and floor.
