Aruvi Cottages

The view from the hotel is fantastic. The view comes with a cost of course. Reaching to the location is mildly difficult. Food was good. Overall hygiene is average. Strongly recommended for solo and group travellers for budget stay and great view. Not so much recommended for families, as comfort would be a priority for families.

Staying at Aruvi Cottages was a horrible experience. Nobody should stay there. . Families should never go there. Bedsheets were not washed, the room was not cleaned, and the washrooms were in a terrible condition. The food serving bowls still had scrub particles and soap on them after washing."When we ordered tea, the cup had lipstick marks on it, which means it was already used by someone and not cleaned." We struggled a lot even for just one night. The checkout time was 11 AM, but we couldn’t tolerate it and had to check out by 7 AM. When booking, it was mentioned that there was a balcony, but the room had no balcony. The service boy took our Aadhaar card and didn’t return it to us. Only after we left and went some distance away, we realized it was missing. When we called, he finally gave it back.It’s shocking how this place has a 4.6 rating. Total waste of money.

a bit far from the city center, takes a auto about 10 min to reach this place. but the views are worth every penny. room was good, and at a very reasonable

Devi sister took really good care, she cook delicious food and the complete stay was excellent. Food was budget friendly

food took a lot of time and it was not possible to eat out after 6 as the route was very steep and no light

Only the view from the cottage is good, the roads to it are not good & risky. No lights and sign-boards, even google maps missed a major turn. The rooms were not as per pictures, washbasin were outside washroom and urinal was present in room, no idea why. Hot water, even tap water was off while using it, had to heat water from stove & use.

As soon as we reached Aruvi cottages, we got mesmerised with the scenic view that the place offered. The caretaker Janaki and her family received us very warmly and served us home cooked food with love. They were extremely prompt in catering to our requests. It was a wonderful experience in Coonoor for me and my family. We would love to stay with Aruvi Cottages when we visit Coonoor again.

view point is good, staff specially the.lady there is gud. Its 2 km inside from main coonoor, not proper.route and sign board are there.

it was a wonderful place with an amazing view. staff name Janu devi was really good and so humble. she made our stay so smooth She prepared an amazing healthy home food. would love to go again to this place

dangerous road to reach the cottage , food also average ,not suitable for winter and mansoon season , location and the valley and road view is full covered with snow ..... not sure your vehicle and your family come out safely from that place ......

excellent stay with clean rooms. nice food and excellent service by staff. in fact i didn't go out for site visit on first day of stay. because i didn't got a stay like this location on my life time. located mid of jungle with good scenery. we loved it.😄😄😄😍😍😍

Seems like all where just a paid review, had a pathetic stay! had a better options than this for a same pricing.

The view was absolutely awesome, truly a sight to behold! However, the room, bed, and bathroom were just average, not quite up to the mark. It took too long to get to the city center, which was a bit inconvenient. To make matters worse, there were so many insects in the room that it made the stay uncomfortable. With such a beautiful view, this place has great potential, but it needs serious improvements in cleanliness and convenience. Arrr, a mixed experience with a stunning view but plenty of room for improvement!

The nature room i experienced was a serene retreat, beautifully blending natural elements to create a peaceful atmosphere. Lush plants, from tall trees to small succulents, filled the space, improving the air quality and adding vibrancy. Earthy materials like wood and stone complemented the greenery, providing a warm, organic feel. Large windows allowed abundant natural light, making the room feel open and connected to the outdoors. A small water fountain added soothing sounds, enhancing the sense of calm. Overall, the room was a perfect sanctuary for relaxation, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Excellent view from cottage... Surrounded by Tea Plantations 😍 Food service also good .. Care taker is very humble and kind .. Go for it

Stay is good. But the way to reach the stay is but typical. I think bikers can manage. And laxman bhagya is so kind and provides good service.

No value for money. Bathroom condition was so bad. View also not good for provided room. Rooms are very congested.
