Zostel Hampi (Gangavathi)

My stay at Zostel Hampi was great. I stayed in the female dorm for 2 nights and Mud Cottage for 2 nights. Both were amazing. The Zostel property itself is beautiful with a lot of animals, who are very friendly. There's a lot of cats, dogs, ducks, even a peacock! The food at The Goan Corner was delicious and the service was great. It was my first solo trip but didn't feel like it because I met such amazing people! Overall a pretty good stay.

It’s the best Zostel in India , and best stay for Hampi . They don’t just give comfort stay but the surrounding experience too . It’s feels so good to be there.

It is my first time staying at Zostel, I was totally blown away by how beautiful the location and rooms were maintained. The in house restaurant has definitely amazing food and the service was quick. I am definitely coming again. One should stay at this hostel to explore near by hostel places. Can’t wait to come again.

Property is located amidst beautiful rice farms and surrounded by Granite hills. Its a peaceful place to stay for solo travellers and couples. You can join the Whatsapp group upon arrival and participant in activities happening around. The restaurant offers a laid back environment with ground as well as table-chair seating. There were some indoor games as well in the restaurant. Just the drawback was the cleaning could have been better. We got cleaned room upon arrival but no one bothered to come and check if cleaning is required again for 3 days of our stay. Although the floor was clean, there were too many cobwebs hanging on walls. The approach to the property has a rough patch of about a Km at the end, with no road and a dusty path. At night the approach to this place is pitch dark.

Amazing stay, I have been to Goan corner back in 2018 as well and now with Collaboration with Zostel is even more fantastic. Owners are very friendly and amazing hosts and If you in love with pets you gonna love this place with different breed of dogs and persian cats. They have plenty of place for outdoor sitting and activity and lot of greenery. Bunkers beds and private rooms are there in options for stay. The food is amazing and they have variety of food for both veg and non veg people.

property was very fab...but only negative is that they are costing too much for food and alcohol.... and location is not solo traveller friendly...very far from sight seeing spots

DO NOT GO. After visiting the Zostel in Lonavala and Panchgani, this one was a disaster.

I loved the property. I stayed in female dorm. It was clean and the cafe food is really good and affordable. Also has a lot of food variety. There are activities conducted everyday in the evening. I saw a beautiful sunset on my first day after completing a short 20 minute hike which is right behind the stay. Only con is that it’s located really in a remote location in north hampi and you need to have your own vehicle or pay surge to autos to get there. For south hampi you will have to rent full day auto or otherwise you can rent bikes in Kamalapur or hampi on the day you arrive for commuting to south hampi. As a solo traveller I found the auto fares unreasonable. However the isolation of that property makes it unique.The property also provides bikes on rent, which are only limited to north Hampi area.

i had the best time at zostel hampi! everything about the place—the events, the food, the pets, the staff, and more—was wonderful. the hosts, anushka and srikanth, were incredibly helpful, and the stargazing, sunset hikes, and coracle rides will always be core memories for me. i can’t wait to go back!

Our zostel stay was very nice, with a good vibe. The room was good but had a lot of cob webs and dust. The restaurant gave a wide variety of food options and they were very decent! however the location of the property is kind of far from reach to hampi and sanapur. But people just looking to chill and indulge in mild adventure activities, this is a great choice of stay!

Lovely location, fantastic food, great hosts. Amazing experience and highly recommended. The rooms are decent too.
