An oasis in a proverbial desert
Very nice property with good comforts in a tiny village that is rich in architectural heritage from the 5-7 centuries

Average Stay
Wada 1 has excellent location, right in the middle of the monuments. The property is very pretty and unique, with a great mix of old and new. The room was spacious and comfortable. But there were some problems: 1. No intercom in the room, so even to get a bottle of water, one needs to walk to the manager’s desk 2. Only vegetarian food, and that too of no great quality. 800 rupees for a thali and 1000 rupees for the buffet was extremely overpriced for the quality we got 3. Food for repeated - they served the same dal, sabzi and chana masala for 2 days. 4. The staff are not well trained and quite unhelpful. So to conclude, wada 1 was very disappointing for the price point

Highly overpriced, indians should avoid
Artistic decor and authentic location can’t compensate for complete lack of service and lack of intent to serve customers. This overpriced place with 5 star room rent comes with less than 2 star service. It operates with skeleton staff, no room phones to contact anyone. Need to hunt for even porters to carry your luggage. Food options are very limited- a single course made by the temporary cooking staff. Essentials like fresh fruits, curd etc weren’t available even on demand. No toilets for drivers, who had to get buckets to bath in the open and find a nearby field for the morning rituals. But you’ll find artistic f aux furniture. Pseudo ethnic decor for the unsuspecting foreign tourists or indians looking for a different authentic feel. This is nothing like a boutique luxury hotel, it’s just a basic two star lodge disguising as a boutique hotel. If the room rent were one fifth, probably would have made sense. Please avoid or experience at your own risk.

Atmospheric stay, very good quality
It was excellent - location, amenities were on a boutique level. Food was delicious, but one would like a bit more variety, like a dosa for breakfast

Great new place to stay in aihole
Lovely location surrounded by the village and temples. Lovingly restored old fortress. Very tastefully lit up at nightand artifacts strewn about make it like you are in a living museum. Excellent food, felt like a home cooked meal along with a nice touch of local cuisine like jowar roti.

Terrible Stay
We went to wada1 with lot of hopes. But after paying hefty fees, equivalent to any five star property we were utterly disappointed. - when we reached the first thing we noticed was that the rooms did not have running hot water. This is one of the most basic amenities now a days. - i think they were having problems with their water heating system. Or they simply did not want to heat up the boilers just for 4 guests. Unfortunately rather than being honest and forthright about it, the manager simply said that the water is available from 7 to 4. When i checked the time it was 4. 10! have heard of a resort that has hot water timings like this? the worst part was that when i asked the manager why didn't you tell this right at the time of check in, the reply was that we never asked. The manager is not a nice person and may be one of the reasons for such dismal occupancy in peak season. - during a stay of 2 nights, our rooms were never cleaned despite asking. - we kept struggling for hot water throughout. - one of the rooms was extremely cramped. Just enough to occupy the bed. It didn't have a full length mirror. - throughout the stay we got a distinct vibe that we were not welcome there and perhaps the place was for classier people. Avoid this place at all costs.

Aesthetic experience in a historical setting
My recent stay at this premium property within a fort's premises was an enchanting journey back in time. The aesthetics and ambiance were remarkable, offering a glimpse into a historical era. The property's architecture and design truly transported me to another world, making the stay an extraordinary experience. The service provided was impeccable; the staff was attentive and always ready to assist with any requests. Their dedication added significantly to the overall enjoyment of the stay. However, there were some areas that could be improved. The rooms, while beautifully designed, lacked certain essential amenities like a mini fridge or other facilities that one might expect for the price paid. The addition of these amenities would undoubtedly elevate the comfort level for guests. Moreover, while the food quality was good overall, the minimal variety and the excessively high prices were disappointing. Although the taste was commendable, the limited options didn't justify the steep pricing. Despite these minor drawbacks, the property's historical charm and exceptional service made the stay memorable. With some enhancements in room amenities and a reconsideration of the pricing and variety of food options, this property could easily reach its full potential and offer an even more fulfilling experience to its guests.

Stay was good but the attitude of the so called manager sitting at bombay was horrible
Our stay was pleasant, we asked for a late check out and we’re ready to pay extra 25 percent of the tariff also, however we were not ready to pay 75 percent of the room rent for checking out at 5 pm instead of 11, would have paid if the rooms were occupied. We stayed for 2 nights and we were the only guests for all those nights including the ones in which we asked for a late check out in a 23 room property, so technically they should let us a late check out at no additional cost, however we were asking for 25 percent of the tariff to be paid as extra to them and they were demanding 75 percent additional. That is where the horror experience began. The local manager there gave contact number of some manager sitting at bombay, she was so rude on the phone that we thought of complaining to the local police about her behaviour, if you are not in the property, don’t sit at bombay and flash your attitude to guests staying at aihole. We were wondering why the place which has nice rustic ambience was vacant during weak days and our s was the only room occupied among 23 rooms for a peak weekend, now we know because of these kind of behaviour and also food is super expensive, we ordered some fruits for night, we got 4 bananas and 3 small apples and were charged 400 rs, you have a super nice property with great effort being put in to create the space, but pols leave such attitude behind when u r serving guests

This hotel is a real gem in the necklace of hotel in the aihole-pattadakal-badami area. Meticulously designed, both exterior and interior of the premises are masterpieces and specimen of the flawless sense. The hotel remains unnoticed till the last bend of the road and suddenly appears out of the mess of the dilapidated temples and mean abodes of the locals. This striking contrast is amazing and is comprehended as embodiment of the essence of india. The hotel manager, jagdish ji, is very polite, helpful and ever smiling person devoted to his duties. Local food provided by the hotel is simple but very tasty and complements the spirit of the place. Highly recommended!
