We stayed in the ‘Vanilla’ room, located in a beautifully restored colonial-era bungalow. With views of lush greenery and peaceful courtyards, the setting was incredibly tranquil—an ideal place to unwind and soak in the crisp mountain air. Meals at Vanilla County are a real treat. Cooked with fresh, organic ingredients sourced locally (many from their own garden), the food is rich in flavor and full of traditional Kerala warmth. With their freshly baked bread from the in-house bakery, every bite is crafted with care and bursting with flavor. A gentle stream runs nearby, and the area is full of scenic spots to explore—small waterfalls, walking trails, and forest paths. It’s perfect for nature walks, birdwatching, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings. What truly makes Vanilla County special is the warm, personal attention from the hosts. Their genuine care, thoughtful conversations, and local insights create a welcoming, home-like experience that stays with you long after you leave. I had a very pleasant and memorable stay at vanilla county. The hostipality of the staff, the food, and facilities, all are commendable. I would like to recommend this heritage plantation bungalow. For all the nature lovers this homestay is awesome!

The property was beautiful and the staff was friendly. Their homemade jams and spread was good and their lunch was excellent but dinner was average.

Food and rooms were awesome, everything was perfect, could sense the thoughtfulness and attention to detail in all the amenities provided, and the best courteous staff one could come across with a never say no attitude, could add tv to the rooms and mobile connectivity was a bit low. The packed delicacies were a cherry on top.

Home stay 16 kms from vagamon in an estate is comfortable, clean and quiet. The hosts are cordial, and food and service are good. The garden and the spunds of different birds are very relaxing.

It was amazing. We really love the hospitality and staffs. Food was delicious. Will definitely suggest our friends and family members regarding this place.
