Hassle free check- in, friendly and helpful staff , lots of greenery overseeing a waterbody . Rooms were well equipped though surprisingly without a mini fridge which should be there for the price range . Bathroom looked fairly well equipped though water pressure was an issue.TV channels very limited and had to constantly call the front desk to subscribe to my favorite channels which they can do before the guest checks in by asking for it. becomes important as wi fi signals were virtually non existent in my room. Did not find the pool table very well maintained though found the badminton court useful . No spa facilities were available and was told that they only had a sauna which was surprising as it was mentioned in the facilities available. Food and Beverage menu looked limited and could do with an upgrade and variety . Found my stay below expectation for the price paid.

It was an amazing stay. Rooms are big. Staffs are very cordial and friendly. You may think you are in a mini forest. Loved the pool area. Gym should have more equipments. And the library should contain more books. Food was tasty. Overall satisfied.

familyAwesome food, good choice of food, can be prepared by the Chef in homely style on request! The Murti river flowing by surrounded by the green, the call of the peacock and the old priest doing his morning and evening Puja at the Shiva temple - you can enjoy all these, if you make no noise and want to enjoy the Paradise as a nature lover :) your phones and laptops should be switched off or in flight mode! From the roof top of the restaurant, you can view the outskirts of the adjacent Gorumara Reserve Forest at a distance, don't forget to carry your binoculars 😀 It's an awesome weekend getaway with family, friends or even a solo break! The Manager and his crew of staff are very cordial, caring and always trying their best to make your stay comfortable and memorable 😊 I intend to visit again ☺️

Tranquil stay

We were planning for summer vacation trip which should be peaceful and tranquil as well as amid-st the sounds of the jungle. So i found this resort and it showed the exact ambience and requirements that we were looking and what's even better or i can say cherry on the top we found a lovely swimming pool inside the resort with a jacuzzi. So we went there and found the hosts were really polite and humble, swimming pool was awesome and food was quite delicious. I would definitely recommend others to have a go at it if you love nature and wants to get away from honkings and pollution.

Location of the property is good and the staffs are also courteous. But the service is very slow. Our planning was to stay at the property and enjoy. But the swimming pool was not filled even after 8 hours of our arrival. It was at around 8:30 in the evening, when the pool was ready, so we didn't use it. The bar is very small with limited supplies. Here also we had to wait for around 4 hours to get chilled beer as the fridge was switched off, despite of reminding the staff. The quality of the food was also average. One of the dish was served half cooked and when we complained and returned it, they provided us complimentary another dish and didn't charge us for the previous one. The breakfast was good. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Overall the experience was very average.

It was overall awesome experience. My whole family loved everything about riverwood forest retreat dooars. Starting from reception, the behaviour of the staff and the facilities in the rooms were excellent. Food was delicious. Preparation made of local fishes was delectable. Other facilities like swimming pool, indoor games, gyms and bar were fabulous.
