You cannot complain as we showed and offered to upgrade you to the bigger rooms but you did not take them. Everything was clean but we changed the pillows, linen, cleaned the bathroom again, on your demand. We catered to all your demands @ extremely low prices. So a bad feedback was not expected but majority of guests from developed areas have become spoilt, very demanding and crybabies. Even though they are travel-ling to a rural - forest mountain village area. So facilities, services, staff cannot be at par with 4 star hotels in metro cities. But we do our best and we charge way less accordingly. So any complaints and bad reviews are not justified.

Room was clean and ready when you reached. Only more room freshner was required to be sprayed as the smell of insecticide( very much required during in hills) was a little more overwhelming. We got crowded and staff was less due to the rakhee and independence day holidays and long weekend, so it affected service speed. Sorry about that. You also enjoyed your dinner, i came to know, as you told the staff that all food was good.

Thank you for your stay with us and your valuable feedback! we will work on improving these issues. We cannot replace linen every-time guests eat there food on beds and leave permanent stains of indian foods and beverages and certain other marks. They cannot be removed by even multiple washes. We have tried everything to remove those permanent stains unsuccessfully. Similarly with some washroom stains and marks. Otherwise all linen is fresh, washed, sun-dried, etc. And rooms and washrooms are also cleaned before, during and after stays. There is wifi. Who said there is no wifi? very sorry that you found the food not according to your taste.

Thanks for your stay with us and appreciations. I have got the bathroom floor & wall tiles, washbasin, toilet, faucets, showers, etc. All deep cleaned and checked again and again and cleaned before, during and after guests stay. I do not get what else can be done. Except that washrooms have become a little old and some guests want it upgraded. But some guests do appreciate the quaintness and the little antique aspects of the place and washrooms.

Driving up to our covered parking entrance from main road is hardly 50 -100 m. Big trucks filled with supplies come regularly on our cemented village lane/ road, so it is not very steep nor too narrow nor too difficult for hill areas. Covered parking area is divided into 2. So you have just mentioned about 1 of those and 2-3 cars can be parked in there easily with adjustments. The other parking part already had 2 cars parked. So 5-6 cars can easily be parked in the covered parking areas. The room you booked was on the topmost floor and since you were senior citizens with severe knee problems especially one who just had recent surgery, as you had mentioned to me, you could not climb the stairs( i will check again if it is not mentioned about some steps/ stairs to be climbed to reach the smaller rooms which might be difficult for some senior citizens with knee problems. So anyways, i arranged for you in the nearby homestay which is on main road, 50- 100 m below us. Rest of the ratings, i cannot reply to nor agree with because you did not stay with us. Please also understand that in most hill areas, you have to climb up and down, a bit at least. It cannot be all plain and straight.

It is a homestay but facilities and amenities are at par or more than some of the good resorts in the area and at half the prices, given the fact that we are very flexible, adaptable and adjusting to the guests' requirements. You had booked another room but were upgraded to the sunrise view room as you preferred that. It has developed some issues which you mentioned and I am sure that caretaker must have let you know before you decided to check-in. Our nonveg cook was not available during your stay and the cook onsite makes good, homely and tasty food but since he is veg. He does not taste the nonveg dishes. I hope the caretaker must have told you about this temporary limitation as well. It is good for all and all kinds of guests have stayed here. There have been as many families of all sizes as small, medium, large groups, stay, relax and enjoy at our place. You have not specified the cleanliness issue so I am guessing that it had to do with the bathroom issue which we are working on. It is probably due to some blockage in the drainage. Leakages, which are a few drops dripping very slowly are probably due to heavy snowfall, few days before you checked in. We are fixing that as well as we also discovered it during your stay. The caretaker must have been in damage control mode as it was his duty to resolve all issues at the earliest cause I was not on-site for 10 days due to some urgent callings and engagements. I was instructing him on phone and asked to give you a complimentary bonfire. Will have a final word with him. Feel bad about your average stay and bad experience due to some temporary issues which should have been resolved by the caretaker, in my absence.

I understand your point about facilities but that is because we are a homestay and not a resort or hotel. We are already providing almost resort like services even though we are a homestay. Give us some time and we will upgrade everything to resort level soon but we will always keep it like a, home away from home, homestay.

Thank you for booking and enjoying your stay with us. Snow-capped Himalayan peaks & range are visible from some rooms and various open areas in our property. Service can seem relaxed and not efficient & pacy as that is the whole idea when you come to a semi-remote area in the midst of pure nature - reserved forests, terrace farms, valleys, mountains. The focus is on de-stressing, slowing down, chilling, letting go, unwinding, relaxing, rejuvenating, refreshing and breathing in pristine & serene environs and surroundings. Basic cleanliness is there unless microscopic vision is used to scrutinize. We have tried getting non-local professional trained staff but due to the relaxed pace and peaceful location, everyone blends in after a while. Our place and rooms are an eclectic mix of homely, cozy, rustic minimalism with a mostly pure white theme splashed sparingly with some other colors. Would you not want some new, unique, different and relaxing experience from the cities & regular touristy places as that must have been a reason for choosing us.

Thank you for your review. We take pride in our location which is almost on road, yet not on road. It is situated right next to a hilltop surrounded by terrace farms, valleys and an endless reserved forest. The big market in the area is 2 km away with various small shops on the way, starting at just low. An ideal location free of all kinds of stresses and pollution thereby enabling everyone to enjoy peace, quiet, nature, clear night skies, sunrise, sunset, rains, mesmerizing views, mountain-forest hikes, treks, trails, barbecue, tandoor, F&B, bonfires, music, games, sports, reading and some solitude. At the same time it is not too remote and isolated either and is blessed with year-round pleasant weather.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I was not there during your stay. I got to know that some fresh supplies were not available anywhere. So you must have faced some issues with food menu and service, as we get and prepare everything fresh and that takes a little more time than usual, sometimes. Thanks again, we will work on them.
