Sona hotel

The way reception, lady treat us by throwing the file and showing her temper on her tone was really unbearable for us

I stayed at Sona Hotel during a recent business trip and was thoroughly impressed. The location was convenient, especially for commuting to meetings and accessing nearby dining options. The check-in process was efficient, and the staff were professional and courteous throughout my stay

Bongaigaon has 3 hotels that met my requirements. The reason I chose Sona Hotel is because when I was checking the reviews I found that this was one hotel who's owner replied to all reviews and specially the negative reviews were answered with humility. I found the hotel to be very good. The guard at the gate helped me park my bike in a safe place. He even helped me unload my luggage. The people at the reception were very hospitable and my check-in was extremely smooth. The room was fantastic. It was a large room with a double bed and four pillows. Clean sheets, bottles of water, tea coffee sachets, amenities in the bathroom...I was pleasantly surprised. I definitely wasn't expecting all this. I was also pleasantly surprised that we had switches at the bedside that I could use to switch off the lights and fan without having to get out of the bed. The bathroom was spic&span with good hot water and good water pressure too. I did not have dinner here. However I ordered a dessert. The one negative I found here. The salver that was used to get my order was very dirty. And when I pointed it out the server started giving weird excuses. I was not planning on having breakfast as I was supposed to leave at 7am. Their breakfast starts from 8am, which I found to be quite late. Since I got late in leaving, I managed to eat a bit. I had asked for tea and boiled eggs. The server at the restaurant insisted I have more and served me some cut apples too. This was a good start to my day. After having breakfast I left happily. I would highly recommend this hotel and if I ever come back to Bongaigaon, this would be my preferred hotel. Thank you Sona Hotel!

Lady receptionist was so rude and non cooperative.. took extra money even after booking confirmed invoice i had...pathetic experience ever.. never opt or recommend this hotel.. Lady receptionist was totally untrained and unprofessional...

Stayed at hotel sona during official trip. Good location though presently some road construction affect the entrance. Excellent in terms of cleanliness. Spacious room. Fitted with modern amenities. Bedsheets and linen were clean. Breakfast having variation and good taste. Restaurant foods are comparatively costlier. Val-let parking is always an issue. Equally need to take care on amenities also specially ac was not properly working in my room.

No visitors allowed, the manager was too rude. He also abused bad words in our conversation. Not recommended in a place like bongaigaon where we have two good options

Some time dirty smell coming from bathrooms, nee freshner which not spraying from house keeping. Need proper cleaning. Other wise all are better. Food also very costly.

1 day stay at Sona Hotel Bongaigaon. The hotel is basic with basic amenities in room. Ok for the price. Limited food variety in buffet but taste was OK.

Location - just off the highway. The road off the highway though is in very bad shape parking - adequate room - good, spacious. Food quality was ok. Tasty but oily. Buffet spread was limited. One key aspect - no segregation of veg and non veg. Guests were touching non veg and veg both with their hands. Which will be a deterrent for folks who are pure vegetarian. Staff were nice and eager to serve.
