We had a wonderful stay at The River Near Coorg Rooms and Restaurant. Nestled in the middle of a lush coffee estate, this hidden gem offers stunning river-view rooms that are clean, well-maintained, and truly peaceful. The property is about 17 km from Madikeri, making it a quiet retreat away from the usual tourist buzz. The food here was delicious and felt like home-cooked meals. Just remember to place your order at least an hour in advance, as everything is freshly prepared. The quantity is generous, and pricing is much more affordable than what you'd find in Madikeri town. What stood out the most was the warm hospitality. The host and the team made us feel like we were staying at a relative’s home – relaxed, welcomed, and well taken care of. It’s a very laid-back and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. Do note that if you need alcohol or cigarettes, you’ll have to bring your own. But with the natural surroundings, the calm river, and the fresh estate air – you might not even miss them. If you're looking to disconnect and soak in the beauty of nature, this is definitely a great place to stay. Highly recommended for couples, families, or solo travelers seeking peace and simplicity.

The location is around 30 minutes away from the centre of the town, but the roads towards the resort was incredibly fun to drive. The resort manager was friendly, and the food was really tasty! there is also a place near the resort to go boating for rs. 100 per head. The place overall is very calm and relaxing.

Stay was very comfortable and food was good. Enjoyed the stay in natures lap. Food was a bit a costly and there are no other options as we stay interior. No mobile network other than bsnl. Enjoyed the drive in hill stations. Road are good too.

The experience was amazing, I felt I'm so close to nature. The cold breeze, breath taking view, gush of the streams was awesome The room was also spacious, and the service was too good. The people were so kind and helpful.

Resort is very beautiful. It is a river side resort. In morning time view is very excellent. Food cost also affordable and taste is good. But tv is not working. That is a only drawback. Otherwise good.

There is no cell tower here, but wifi connection is available. It's a coffee plantation estate next to a river, with facility for barbecue and campfire. It is surrounded by jungle and coffee plantation

Nice ambiance and location. Very co - operative staff we had camp fire and dinner. The taste was very good.

Rooms are fine for the price offered had a good breakfast and location wise it's best suitable for nature and silence lovers

Excellent location.. courteous staff.. well maintained room and inside coffee estate. it would have been great if few children friendly amenities there. but no complaints. All of us Enjoyed a lot

Great stay at affordable price and with nice amenities. Hospitality and service by the management was adorable. But the food was not tasty and they should focus on training the chefs.
