Kondan the retreat

A very beautiful place located on the backwaters of the dam. An hour's drive in the interior from old mumbai pune highway. Small country road but in good condition. The resort has a rustic charm with vintage architecture, stone walls and mango and chickoo trees but at the same time it has it has one of the most beautiful swimming pools and an in room jacuzzi bath tub. You can either hike up to the caves or go down to the lake. Not much activity around. Since we went in march, there were very free guests. So food was prepared as per our liking and it was delicious. There's a small play area and some domestic animals to keep the kids engaged. Kartik is a gem of a person and doing a fantastic job managing the property. Kudos! all in all, a holiday well spent.

The resort is nicely built, designed with good taste and located at a marvelous location with greenery all over and in the midst of nature. Rooms are nice, spacious. Problem areas are seepage of rain water at parts of room. Lack of room sevice. No intercom. Housekeeping doesn't comes for cleaning by default on next day like every other Kondan the retreat. Food was decent but more options should be given especially for vegetarians, nothing much was available beyond paneer.

We had a fabulous 2 day stay at kondan. The resort is designed by architect prasanna morey. It has a proper balance of modern and traditional elements blending into natural environment. Lake view rooms, swimming pool area and the dining area are breathtaking. We really appreciate the service provided by manager mr. Kartik and rest of the staff. Food was very delectable. We highly recommend this place and would visit again.

The property is really amazing. Location is peaceful and serene. Amenities are up to the mark. The design is thoughtful and instagramable. People are helpful and polite. There's a margin to improve food taste and menu. And installation of wifi and communication devices from rooms for room service like intercom are must. Rest it was the delightful experience all together. Thank you

It is very secluded outside city and away from all the hustle. We had wonderful time in the lap of nature. Food was amazing. Swimming pool experience was nice for kids.

Though the property is very good, overall quality is not at par compared to similar resorts in terms of service and maintenance of property.

Great experience at kondan. The place is so isolated from any kind of noise pollution. You will get a good nature experience. Few things bother me that cctv are less so in terms of security it is a bit risky.

The place is very well designed and we were amazed by the thought put into designing it. The tarangan rooms are amazing. The food was good. A very special thanks to mr. Singh who went out of the way to make the stay comfortable.
