Very hygienic condition,with poor room service,don’t recommend it again

It is very near to temple & rooms are neat.

I recently stayed at Sham Suman hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far below satisfactory. While a few members of the staff were helpful, the fundamental issues with the property significantly detracted from my stay. The most significant problem was the non-functional lift. My room was on the third floor, and climbing the stairs with my mother (senior citizen) and kids was a major inconvenience. While a kind helper was available to assist with carrying bags to the reception upon checkout, the overall hassle of the broken lift was a constant source of frustration throughout my stay. Additionally, the hotel currently does not offer a breakfast option, which was a surprise and an inconvenience. This should be made clear to guests before booking. The condition of the room (Room 303) was also a concern. The toilet door was missing an internal doorknob and appeared to be poorly maintained, which felt unhygienic. It's clear that the rooms and hotel requires significant maintenance. The lack of attention to basic guest amenities and room maintenance is what is missing. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel in its current state. The combination of a broken lift, a lack of basic services like breakfast, and poorly maintained rooms makes for a very disappointing experience.

Food and coffee was good. Hotel is close to the temple and they have lift and clean rooms.

Very near to temple parking is available staff are good rooms are ok clean n comfortable breakfast is not available but surrounded eateries r plenty anyways am happy

As per the rate the room were not upto the mark very low quality the washroom was also not that g8 every time I had to tell them to on the tv and then they would do some recharge and get it on as if I’m staying at hourly basis room because to told them to on the tv jas befor 2 hours the food was also not that good

Location is very near to Mahalakshmi temple. That really helped us in this rainy season. A great experience.

The biggest USP of the property is,that it is bang opposite the Mahalaxmi Temple,if you are visiting kolhapur specially for Darshan. Facilities wise it needs a lot of upgradation. Bed,AC and hot water are the only facilities. They do have a small resturant on the ground floor ( not neat) which starts at 7.30am. If you are not an early riser and not in a hurry it's fine. There are many eateries, restuarants outside ,so that is not an issue.

Location is good and they provide parking. Staff is polite. We stayed on third floor room facing the Devi mandir. Entire night the windows were rattling loudly due to wind. We had to tightly pack it with papers and towels so that it stop making noise so we could sleep. The room door also continuously rattled and same as windows we had to use paper stubs to tighten so that it stopped making sounds. The windows don't have nets so if you open it for ventilation mosquitoes would enter. So we could not get a very peaceful sleep.

Best location food best staff and very good service

Hotel is right across north gate of mandir. Just few steps (1 minute time). Nearby restaurants also available. 10-15 minute drive from kolhapur railway station which is good. Highly recommend this hotel for pilgrims visiting mahalaxmi mandir. Room was very clean. Bathroom also in good condition. 24/7 hot water supply which is a very good thing. 2 packed small mineral water bottles, 2 small medimix soap were provided. Mobile network (jio) was good in room. Overall best hotel to recommend while visiting mahalaxmi mandir kolhapur.

The pillow cover was very damp and could see fungus on the cushion. The blanket was stinky The phone line was not working. Issue with the ac throughout the stay. Slow service. The staff was good and helpful. The property was the best in town when I visited this place 10 years back. It seems like it's run by some new people since Covid. As per the price range

Very near to temple, good & comfortable rooms for stay. don't except the Andhra break fast in Hotel restaurant. Better to try outside.

Location is very convenient for people who intend to visit Mahalaxmi temple. If offering any seva or if you have to stay over for a couple of days for pilgrimage or any special puja in the temple then this is perfect location. If coming in own vehicle, parking is in basement which can be very inconvenient. Plenty of options to meet you food requirement and shopping.

good hotel. just a few steps to the temple. stuff behaviour nice. As a solo traveller I am satisfied with this hotel.

This property is located right in front of the temple and is very convenient for the travellers especially for ones who have elderly people in the group. While their restaurant was closed - you can explore a couple of simple ones around! Parking is a concern but the staff would help you with the space! Remember that its not on the main road and hence you ll need their help to navigate to reach in-spite of the maps! Staff are friendly and place is clean enough!

Staff was good and attentive. But the rooms are old there's mold on the walls. Bathrooms seems old and moldy. The room we got was very badly lit and the only window we had was opening on the lobby area resulting in no privacy, so had to keep it shut all the time. Overall good stay but needs renovation.

Room was ok The commode was cracked inside, Corridor was not with ventilation Lights was harsh

2Hr delay for reaching Bangalore worst service by VRL and Day before yesterday I travelled orange travel by bus from Bangalore to Kolhapur that bus way delay 3hr.
