HOTEL GRAND PALACE (VS HOTEL) AIRPORT TRANSIT

Very poor maintenance, Cockroaches are roaming in the room, Even in the dining room too . Breakfast is not worth it. Totally not good for the amount we pay.

Our recent stay at the Royal Grand Hotel was, unfortunately, a major letdown. It’s disheartening to see such a potentially beautiful property being completely mismanaged and neglected to this extent. What should have been a relaxing getaway turned into a frustrating experience due to the hotel's poor standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and service. The property itself has great potential – spacious layout, prime location, and architectural charm. But that’s where the positives end. From the moment we arrived, we noticed the lack of basic hygiene. The lobby entrance had a worn-out floor mat that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or replaced in years or decades maybe. The rooms were far worse – roaches were crawling around, and the air was thick with dust, which triggered allergies in our children. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable, with springs poking out dangerously. The bathrooms were grimy, covered with water stains, soap scum, and years of neglect. It was clear that maintenance has been absent for a long time. Breakfast was another disappointment. It was extremely basic, bland, and clearly prepared without care – not even close to the standards one would expect for the price charged. Definitely not value for money. It’s obvious the hotel suffers from a serious lack of professional management. The staff appeared untrained, disinterested, and overwhelmed. There seems to be no system in place to ensure cleanliness, comfort, or guest satisfaction. My honest recommendation: The owners should seriously consider a complete overhaul of the management team. Bring in professionals who understand hospitality and guest expectations. This property has potential, but in its current state, it’s doing more harm than good to the brand. Until serious changes are made, I cannot recommend the Royal Grand Hotel to anyone. A hotel stay should be restful, not a test of patience and tolerance.

The food quality was poor, even though I requested the receptionist, no help for luggage while checked out.

Non AC Room is ok But No windows so that very hot in room inside otherwise not worth this amount ???

As location wise it's nice.But the staffs are confused with there check in policy. About food average

The premises is very old and found difficulty to find it out as no name is mentioned in the hotel entrance AC was also not working in this summer we found little uncomfortable...even the distance also not much nearer from Airport... over all its a below average hotel

worst hotel stay with dirty rooms with bugs and sewage shit smelling rooms with no windows .... they are trying to renovate in our expense by letting people stay next to rooms where dangerous chemicals and pathetic cleaning folks. they had no rooms at this hour so we had to take it or lose our money

Firstly, the behavior of the staff was very rude. The room that was provided to me after checkout was not cleaned properly. Used towels and a used toothbrush were still lying in the bathroom. Moreover, no one was answering the calls at room service or the reception desk. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Morning breakfast was absurd and no one was there to attend & even water not served

Property is nearer to the airport, but the hotel's cleanliness is poor, cockroaches and mosquitoes in the room. restaurant is without A/C and buffet breakfast not satisfactory. Three days stay without wifi connection to the room. No action even after many complaints. No toilet paper.

This place is in prime location opposite to my Hospital it’s easily accessible . This time when I stayed to my surprise the property is so nicely renovated with ac rooms perfect for this hot summer at affordable price and food was so delicious .last time when I stayed the property had complaints but this time everything so nicely renovated with no complaints kudos to the Management and there were no insects too I was so happy with my stay here with my family and the staff was hospitable .The bar was also newly renovated with offers and my dad was happy .and my favourite is cappuccino it was available I searched the whole of Chromepet but I found in Grand palace finally ..loved the stay keep it up team looking for more from you guys my favourite hotel in Chromepet

The hotel is located at a prime location and easily accessible to many things in the city. But the property is under maintenance and not very good.

Hotel was totally unhygienic lot of cockroaches areiund the room and in toilets area rooms and toilets were horrible and stinking no drinking water provided no towel provided. No phone available in room to contact room service or reception. Don't look professional hotel very limited choice for food. You can say food available for bar services. room not adequately lit up reception not adequately lit up. such horrible hotel in my life.

The most disappointing hotel ever stayed. Wifi; they have no wifi connectivity. The reception mentions its connected but never realise that it's connected without internet. Probably they never paid for plan. They reason out some hotel civil work going on. I don't know what it has to do with wifi device and why should guests suffer. The staff never bothered to check if wifi getting restored. I stayed for 2 nights since already payed and until i checked out the 3rd morning, it never got restored. Rooms; at the price they demand, rooms are ill maintained. 1st room given to me had a lock broken from inside which i brought to housekeeping notice who was equally surprised. They changed my room then. The next was so near to railway track that the noise of trains is there at all times. No tea/coffee/sugar sachets. No electric kettle. No pest control done since there were small cockroaches and mosquitoes in lobby and rooms. When i brought to notice of reception, he told me he will send someone to fumigate but till next morning no one turned up. Bathroom is unclean so never felt like taking shower. Switches are poorly fixed. Staff quality is poor with poor communication skills so please don't get mislead by the name grand palace. It's a grand shame
