Hotel Dravidar

Property is very well maintained. It is very clean. It is very close to the main basilica. Restaurant food is very good especially non veg items. Staffs are so welcoming and behaved very gentley. To conclude it's a very nice and pleasant stay in hotel Dravidar at velankanni.

This is my second time using this hotel. Excellent rooms and good attached restaurant. The staff and room service were great

It is the only best of hospitality centrally located in the Pilgrim centre. I have stayed there on many occasions. This trip was a good one. Staff are cordial and courteous. Definitely value for money.

Room and bathroom are really neat and clean. Service also very good. Food is excellent and reasonable. It's just walkable from the shrine.

This is a familiar hotel. So i found out easily. This hotel has restaurant. So food easily available. Amenities and service also got nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at hotel dravidar. Our room was clean, and the maintenance and service were excellent. However, there are a few areas for improvement we'd like to suggest: - enhancing the quality of food, particularly the idly and dosa batter, which didn't quite meet our expectations. - increasing the quantity of side dishes in take-away orders. Despite these minor suggestions, we appreciated our stay and look forward to considering hotel dravidar again on our next visit to velankanni.

The hotel was located very near to the church. So, it was easy for us to go to the church. We went a little early but they provided a room for us to freshen up for the time being before giving us the actual room since the actual room was being vacated just then and they had to clean it. The food and service was really good. The room service was also really good.

I booked hotel dravidar, which rated it 4. 3 stars for its services, cleanliness, and proximity to the velankanni shrine. While its location is a significant advantage, being very close to the main shrine, i found several issues that detracted from our stay. We were a family of three and reserved a triple bedroom premium, expecting a decently sized room. However, the room was quite small for three adults. Although the separate toilet and bath area were a positive aspect, there were no hooks or handle bars for towels or amenities, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the room lacked proper exhaust or ventilation. After a tiring journey, we checked in around the afternoon and requested tea to refresh ourselves. Surprisingly, the hotel staff informed us that tea was not available during lunch hours. Later in the evening, when tea was finally served, the staff came to retrieve the cups just 20 minutes later, which felt unprofessional as we hadn't finished yet. Cleanliness was another concern; the sheets were not very clean, and one of our fellow travelers even found a bed bug, which they documented and showed to the hotel staff. This prompted them to clean the mattress thoroughly. We requested a late check-out (an extra 5 hours) but were told we had to pay the full day's charge or downgrade to a double room and pay its full price plus gst, which seemed unreasonable. Despite these issues, My advice to future guests is not to expect 4. 3-star service. This hotel is decent and benefits primarily from its proximity to the velankanni shrine.

Property is located in the prime location very close to the shrine. Ample car parking space with in house restaurant and excellent front office staff along with good housekeeping and very helpful room service.

The rooms are clean and it's very near the vellamkani shrine, hardly 100 meters. The staffs are also friendly. The only issue with the rooms are the smell from washrooms which enters the room.

The hotel didn't bother about giving a good room. I could clearly see a difference in price and quality between makemytrip booking and direct booking. They charge 800 rs additional for direct booking, but giving a nice furnished room. Deluxe room don't even have hot water or team preparation set. They don't even bother checking in or out formalities!

It was an excellent and comfortable stay at dravidar. The service and cleanliness was upto the standard. The location was also close to the church. The staff was also very helpful and friendly.
