City Central Hostel, Kolkata

Very organized and clean hostel, good thing they maintain the property as well as the bathroom was clean, They had separate lockers for every individual which is must. Dining area is quite small but adjustable. Staff seems nice and friendly.

bahut hi badhiya dormitory hostel hai, cleaning bhi bahut hi badhiya hai.mai toh 2nd time aaya hu aage aur bhi aaunga.

There’s no doubt this is the number one place I’ve seen in Kolkata. I came here for Durga Puja, and till now, I haven’t faced any problems. The staff here are very helpful and solve any issue immediately. What I love most about this hostel is that everyone here talks and chills together like one big family. The terrace is a beautiful place to sit and relax in the evening, and the kitchen facilities let us cook our own food whenever we like. The complimentary breakfast is also really good. Overall, without any doubt, I’d give this hostel a full 10 out of 10

I got to know about thus stay from one of my friend stay is very convenient and clean. and most important location is very perfect at the center of the city and metro is just 1Km away from hostel.

I had a very good stay at the hostel. It was homely and literally had every facility available. The staff is helpful and the location is perfect. Overall the experience for very good at this price. Highly recommended.

I stayed on a day when entire Kolkata saw unprecedented rain and flood. Every guest was stranded without food though they got the breakfast as usual. No one dared to go out to look for food as there was waist deep watee all around. It was expected that the owner/management wud atleast try and reach out to the guests with minimal food supply somehow but nobody came to any help. That was really a sad part.

I stayed at this hostel in Kolkata for 4 nights with my 3 friends, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The place was very clean, peaceful, and felt like a second home. A special thank you to Sourav Adak, one of the most kind-hearted and helpful staff members we’ve ever met. He is full of fun loving boy , very patience He really took care of us like a friend. What touched us the most is that he never accepts tips from room members, no matter how much you insist. He works from the heart, not for money, and that shows how genuine and passionate he is about his job. We also want to mention the elderly security uncle who truly won our hearts. On the night we arrived, we were strangers in a new city, and he personally came with us to help us out — something we will never forget. And just last night, we saw him sleeping on the floor near the gate, without any mosquito protection. When we asked why he wasn’t sleeping in a room, he said, “People come and go at all hours, so I stay here to be ready.” That moment made us realize how seriously and sincerely he takes his job, even at his age. It really touched our hearts.

Good stay. It was neat and well organised

Nice stay in the heart of the city at a very affordable price. If you are a solo traveler and not worried about privacy then an AC dormitory in City Central Hostel is an ideal choice. Its neat and clean and breakfast is included. Don't expect too much from the breakfast but something is there. You get the facility of the kitchen where you can prepare your tea or toast your bread and I also saw a working washing machine. There is a living area with sofas and a dining table where one can work, chit chat and eat. Shared accommodation so be careful of your valuable items.
