The place to stay for your Dzukou Valley Trek

Great base for exploring dzukou valley from.

Great well run place with good communication and helpful staff. We stayed in a very spacious log cabin with a good bed and separate sofa area. That was exactly as shown in the pictures. Clean bedding, heating and hot water were all what you need when heading up to trek to dzukou valery for which this is a great base. They organised an excellent guide and 4wd transport for us. The night we arrived they served up excellent nagoa food making a special effort to get meat for us. It's a campsite as well which meant there was a big group of friendly young travellers making us welcome to join them at the nightly fire listening to music. The owners made a special effort to come and talk to us and check everything was up to scratch, it's lovely when you can say unreservedly that everything is excellent. Kohima is a reasonable drive away and offers some surprisingly upscale options for food and drinks. Ooopar restaurant and bar is well worth a visit if you want quality western dishes served with top class cocktails in a smart environment. I'd definitely come back and stay here again which is what any host wants to hear. Great job.

Wonderful place. Quiet, calm and serene. Mhasi, the caretaker, arranged the dzokou valley trek for us, and cooked delicious food.
