Worst Hostel Experience – Avoid at All Costs! I had an extremely disappointing experience at Aawara Backpackers in Alibaug. The surroundings were filthy, with garbage everywhere, making it feel completely unhygienic. We had booked a 4-bunk bed dorm, but instead, we were shoved into a crowded 12-bunk bed dormitory without any prior notice. To make matters worse, the washroom was not attached to the room and was dirty and smelled awful. The entire room was dark and gloomy, with barely any proper lighting. The worst part? To reach the common area, we had to go through the dormitory, meaning that anyone could pass through our room, offering zero privacy. As two female travelers, we felt completely unsafe and uncomfortable. The atmosphere was unsettling, and the whole place gave off bad vibes. We had booked this place but left within 30 minutes because there was no way we could spend the night here. If you’re traveling to Alibaug, do NOT stay here! It’s poorly managed, unclean, and not safe for travelers. Absolutely not recommended!

Staff behaviour is polite

Host was amazing and very helpful. They will help u plan ur itinerary too and will arrange amenities for you. Miraj (one of the host) arranged scooty for me. They have great facilities such as fridge, hot water, kitchen and a cozy living room. Overall, great experience

The stay was good, everything was exactly like the photos and reviews I had seen. The only negative was that the vibe was not as vibrant as I had expected. Apart from that it was a good experience.

Staying among the local communities and enjoying their local hospitality with friends is amazing. Prperty is located in 5 minutes walking away from see beach. Facilities were excellent and staying was peaceful. Highly recommend for solo trips and with friends.
