Day 1 Arrival at Dharamshala airport; Transfer to Dalhousie (3hrs/100 Km)

Nestled amidst the Dhauladhar Ranges of the Himalayas, Dalhousie is situated on the banks of River Ravi. The place is named after a British official and retains the vintage charm through its churches and colonial architecture. It is an ideal serene retreat for the nature lovers and travel enthusiasts. Day 2 Dalhousie Sightseeing

Spend the morning on a sightseeing tour of this small hill town. You can visit Panchpula, located just 3 km from Dalhousie. It is a cluster of five (panch) bridges (pula) famous for its waterfalls and gushing streams. A samadhi is built in the memory of Sardar Ajith Singh, a freedom fighter. The Subhash Baoli is named after Subhash Chandra Bose. It is believed that he took an abode in Dalhousie during his illness and it was the water of the spring that healed him from his fatal disease. St. John's Church is the oldest church of the town with an immense historical significance. Built in 1863, it reflects the Victorian style of architecture. Also visit St. Francis Church, famous among the art lover for its magnificent glass work and the stone work. In the evening, take a stroll around the Mall road and indulge in shopping at the Tibetan Market. The place is famous for its handmade handicrafts, wooden flowers and food. Day 3 Dalhousie - Excursion to Khajjiar

Wake up to a spectacular sunrise amidst the lush green forest in your cozy room and be picked-up from the hotel lobby for an excursion to Khajjiar, popularly known as 'Mini Switzerland'. It is an emerald, saucer shaped meadow surrounded by deodar forests with a lake in the centre. While exploring the area, you would come across a temple with golden spire, a forest rest house and a golf course. Day 4 Dalhousie - Dharamshala (3 hrs/100 Km)

In the morning, it would be time to check-out from your hotel and re-trace your journey towards Dharamshala. This dwelling of Dalai Lama is about prayer wheels and colourful prayer flags amidst the scenic views of the mountains. Upon your arrival in this beautiful hill station, check-in and relax in your opulent hotel. In the afternoon, you would be driven to the Norbulinka Institute (closed on Sundays). It was the summer residence of Dalai Lama. The institute is built to preserve the traditions, culture, values and creativity of Tibetan society. The area around the institute gives a glimpse of Japanese garden where nature flourishes and tranquillity prevails. Visit the the War Memorial was built in the memory of the soldiers who fought valiantly for their motherland. The place is surrounded by pine trees and thus, a walk in the thick of the woods would be pleasant. Then, head to the Kangra Art Museum (closed on Mondays) displays artefacts from Buddhist and Tibetan culture. It has preserved ancient artifacts which include fabrics, carvings, handicrafts, palanquins, miniature paintings and other creative things. Day 5 Dharamshala sightseeing

This morning set out on a city tour of Mcleodganj or the mini-Tibet. Surrounded by the mighty Dhauladhar ranges, Mcleodganj is a place to admire the pristine nature and the amalgamation of the cultures of Tibet and Britain. You would be visiting the Dalai Lama Temple Complex. In the morning, you might witness the monks chanting and meditating in the temple, creating a positive aura in the premises. Kalchakra Temple contains enthralling murals of Kalchakra (Wheel of Time) mandala. Many mandalas are created here with colourful sand annually. Visit the Dal Lake, set amidst the lush green Deodar forests serves as the base camp for trekkers and St. John's Church which reflects the Gothic architecture. The church lies amid the tall cedars between Mcleodganj and Forsythganj. The glass windows and the architectural design make it a tourist place. Also, visit Bhagsunag Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. From the temple you can hike up to Bhagsu Falls, but please note that it is a steep path and involves a fair number of steps. This enchanting waterfall is surrounded by stunning cliffs and trees.   • In case of unavailability in the listed hotels, arrangement for an alternate accommodation will be made in a hotel of similar standard.
  • A maximum of 3 adults are allowed in one room. The third occupant shall be provided a mattress/rollaway bed.
  • The itinerary is fixed and cannot be modified. Transportation shall be provided as per the itinerary and will not be at disposal.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation stage: 10 or more days prior to departure.
  • The initial booking amount will be forfeited. In case you have paid 100% of the package cost as the initial booking amount or first payment, a Makemytrip executive will share details of the non-refundable services included in the package (as per the confirmation email shared with you at the time of booking). The balance amount after deducting the cost of the non-refundable services, will be refunded to you.
  • Cancellation stage: less than 10 days prior to departure.
  • No refund will be provided upon cancellation done within 10 days before departure
