Vale of Kashmir Homestay

We recently stayed at "vale of kashmir homestay" with family and friends, and unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. Our feedback aims to assist fellow travelers in making informed choices. We observed a glaring absence of basic amenities during our stay. The lack of air conditioning, compounded by a two-hour power cut with no backup for ceiling fans, made the accommodation uncomfortable, particularly for our young children. Despite numerous requests, the hotel team only provided table fans as a temporary solution. Additionally, the absence of toiletries such as toothpaste and toothbrushes, along with low water flow from taps, caused inconvenience and wasted time. Moreover, there was ambiguity regarding room sizes listed. Despite booking three rooms, we found them to be larger than expected, leading us to utilize only two. Despite our request to rent out the extra room, the property owner failed to arrange it, indicating a lack of effort and customer focus. Furthermore, we encountered a malfunctioning toilet flush in one room, necessitating a room change early in the morning, which added to our discomfort. The lack of wifi coverage in the rooms exacerbated connectivity challenges. Additionally, we noticed the absence of essential furniture such as an almirah. Having just one hanging rod for clothes storage was inconvenient, especially for a family with young children. Furthermore, the poor condition of the mattresses added to our discomfort, and it was surprising that there was no offer to change bedsheets or towels during our second day stay. Another notable point is the property's shoe policy. While we understand the need for cleanliness indoors, this policy should have been clearly stated to avoid surprises upon arrival. These issues, coupled with the ones previously mentioned, paint a comprehensive picture of our disappointing experience at "vale of kashmir homestay" we hope this feedback serves as a guide for future travelers and prompts the booking to enhance the overall quality of accommodations listed.

Property is new so its fresh and clean. say was very pleasant. Nice place for your family Homestay. Owner was taking care of all your meals as per your request.

I was told they have some problem and we have been shifted to another hotel 100m. we stayed there but it was not up to the expectations. also no breakfast

The host were very nice, rooms were great, location is average as it's the main road. The overall experience was nice because of the hospitality & room quality.

Room is spacious clean and hygiene, especially the host is very friendly and supportive to like a big brother. Food (brekfast) like a home test. Over all it a great and beautiful location near hill to stay with family.
