Tentgram Plantation Hostel Suryanelli

As a solo traveller It was a great experience for me

The location is serene, close to Kolukkumalai base. The food was amazing. The dorm beds were comfortable enough although we had been given a 10 dorm room and we had booked for 9. But one of our beds was assigned in another 10 dorm room. We adjusted that ourselves. The washroom was not as good, it was small and a bit unclean considering the room would be used by 10 people. The lady grandma working at the tea stall has a whole vibe and we loved her songs as she prepared tea for us. The Phantom Hills trek was a lot of fun, with only 5 of us.on the entire trail. So was the Kolukkumalai Jeep trip. Although we didn't see the sunrise due to the current weather, the Jeep ride in itself was fun.

Very peaceful property. A beutifual and sceneic place to relieve iur mind. Located at the foot of kolukumalai and food too is gud

The property was nice and the people handling it were also nice. Up keep of the property could be better.

The location was so beautiful one wouldnt feel like leaving the hostel. Food was amazing and cheap and the best part being having portion size for solo travellers. John was an amazing host and made really fun fellow travellers ❤️

i had a wonderful stay at the tea plantation hostel. everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, a lovely chill vibe, very relaxing up in the hills, john took some of us for a walk to a beautiful sunset spot when we arrived. the accommodation is very clean, plenty of cute hang out spaces, lots of chai or coffee on offer from the cute outdoor tea station, amazing food (breakfast, lunch and dinner). i booked 2 nights but stayed 3 and didn’t want to leave! i will be back. thank you all for having me. ☺️ bronte

The infrastructure blended with wonderful nature and it's elegant layout along with the friendly staff makes tent-gram suryanelli a wonderful property to stay and visit again.

One drawback was the limited bathroom facilities, with only a single bathroom available in the 12-bed dorm room. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience. The small kitchen, although limited in menu options and operating hours, provided essential sustenance, including delicious local dishes. The true highlights of my stay were the sunrise off-road ride to kolukkumalai peak, organized by tentgram, and the lively campfire gatherings. These experiences fostered connections among guests, creating a sense of camaraderie and shared adventure. Overall, tent-gram offers a perfect blend of tranquility, adventure, and community. If you're seeking a serene getaway amid-st stunning natural beauty, with friendly hosts and memorable experiences, tent-gram is the place to be.

The accommodations exceeded expectations. Initially booked for rest, the experience transcended mere comfort with well-organized sunset trekking, evening meals, early morning kolukkumalai trek, and breakfast. The ambiance and scenic beauty were truly captivating, complemented by a friendly and attentive staff. The addition of a campfire provided a delightful evening activity.

I perfect offbeat location for travel enthusiasts looking for a peaceful time in munnar / suryanelli. Calm surrounding, ease of reaching the property, hosting, nearby locations and food in the cafe are some of the qualities.

The communication via whatsapp ahead of our stay was very helpful and kiran even organised a birthday cake as requested. The guys at the hostel were helpful and accommodating. There was chai and coffee and snacks to be had at the snack shack all day round and in the evening we sat around the bonfire. We would have liked to go on a hike but due to wild elephants this was not advised. The sunrise jeep trip was absolutely amazing and i would highly recommend. Overall the stay was very pleasant even if there were some miscommunications regarding our dinner order. They are eager to find a solution and help out with what they can. Its a very relaxed vibe at the hostel which is nice to get away from the city. Thanks for everything guys!

We stayed there for 3 days, we enjoyed their company, people are very polite and humble, management is really good there. This place is very near to the kulukkamalai sunrise point. If you are planning to stay near munnar then this place has got many things to do. Wallah habibi
