Not a homestay, horrific place, not meant for families
This is not a homestay, it is just a small outhouse, with small rooms, no ventilation, no basic amenities like clean bed sheets, clean water, towels, working fans, basic toiletries. The property listed 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms, but only 2 were given for a group 9 people. The rooms were hot and because no window could be opened as there were so many insects and windows were not netted, it was a horrible experience with the family. We had to move a beds to living room as there fan in the hall was relatively better working. Btw, fans are all wall fans and do not cover the rooms. Bathroom windows were filled with used soaps. Water seemed coming from an uncleaned tank or stagnant water source. The water had a smell. On the day of arrival, we were about to reach the place in evening at around 5:30/6 pm, the property owner called us telling that there is no kitchen or food available, no food available anywhere nearby. He said food couldn’t be delivered as his auto driver was not picking up the phone. So, we had to stop in the city, wait for for the restaurants start for dinner preparations. Finally, after packing the food and arriving at the place, we were shocked to see the small place. And then there were no plates or glasses also to have the food we had packed. After requesting multiple times, the owner got us one table fan. At that time around 9pm, there was no option but to stay and suffer the night. The surrounding farm is filled with plantations. And probably there is a shared road for another property. We checked out in the morning to hunt for other places. Booked for 3 nights 6th may to 9th may, had to suffer a night, instead of having good time had to call multiple times the mm t customer care, friends and contacts to find places for next three days. Another point, there is no caretaker or reception.

Terrible Stay
It was terrible, the rooms did not have ceiling fans, just have wall fans, which are super slow. The water in bathroom was dirty. The tank was not cleaned for ages as it seems. The house is 2 kms inside the main road. If you are travel-ling with a big car, the road is too narrow for you. There are 0 shops in the radius of 8 kms. Not even to get drinking water.
Masala stay
Everything is perfect. Provide electricity and ac or cooler in summer months. Also spices masala plants trees were good for daughters understanding.

Deep in the coffee and pepper plantations yet close to the town
My experience at rustic woods was quite eventful. Initially, the check-in process seemed like it might turn into one of my worst experiences, but thanks to chandan, the host who ensured that the check-in went smoothly. The chaos was due to technical issues with mm t and a communication gap. Although there was a slight delay in the check-in process, overall it was satisfactory. The property is nestled within lush coffee and pepper plantations, offering complete privacy as it's situated at a dead end. The accommodation includes a cozy living room with a sofa and two bedrooms that comfortably accommodate upto 8 adults. There aren't any amenities, but what you'll find is an abundance of peace, tranquility, and serenity both within the property and its surroundings. During our stay, we requested a bonfire, which was arranged for us one evening, even though the weather wasn't particularly cold. It was a nice addition to our experience. We visited during the last week of march when the days were warm but the evenings were cool and the mornings foggy. We look forward to staying again in the winter to experience the most of it. We also had the opportunity to meet chandan's family, and it was a pleasure conversing with his father and mother. The property's location, just a 10-15 minutes drive from madikeri, makes it a convenient base for exploring the nearby tourist attractions. A helpful tip is to call the host immediately after booking to confirm and arrange any food requirements

Rustic woods review
Overall stay was good. With the help of google maps only we are able to reach property. Nearly 500 metres mud road was there in between estates. Host was kind. Check in and check out was smooth. Room, bathroom was neat and clean. Location of the property was great, located in the middle of the coffee estate. In property you can enjoy morning mist and chirping of birds all around the estate. You can do plantation walk in the estate of the host, they are growing coffee and pepper. In night you can enjoy the campfire with your loved one. But the drawback was the kitchen. Since they are not having kitchen we have look after the necessity of the food. Otherwise the experience was good. Highly recommended for those who want privacy (if booked the entire property.
