Hotel The Takshila

Nice hotel. A little away from busy roads and market. Staff is good and cooperative. I enjoyed my stay there.

The takshila is nice and homely. The staff and owner, stanzin are very friendly and helpful. Basic amenties are available; though they could work a little more on cleanliness (said the clean freak.

Property is clean but the staff behaviour is not good. There is nobody to help you with the luggage as the staff said they won’t get up before 6 even if you have a flight to catch. Moreover we requested cab in the morning to reach airport which they said they would provide. The cab did not turn up in the morning and we were left hanging for the cab, the staff was sleeping so we could not reach to cab driver.

For the price, this property is not worth it at all. Rooms are cold and dirty with no heating at all. The washroom stinks. The washbasin tap doesn’t get hot water. There is no one at the reception, ever. The complimentary breakfast is a joke. Just one item is served, and that too after waiting for too long. The staff at the property have no experience in this field and they cant help you with anything. We booked this hotel after looking at the positive reviews on google, but they all seem fake now. Terrible experience.

Overall stay was good, the room was cold but the staff was really nice to us. Caring of all our needs. Owner personally came to see guest and ask if we’re comfortable or need anything.

The tagline of this hotel is "home away from home" and undoubtedly you feel the same. We had excellent stay for 4 days(2 rooms) over here. Starting from hotel location it is very near to leh main market which was cherry on cake. Clean and very soacious rooms and view from room was mesmerizing. Mr stanzin the owner was so helpful and supportive, he upgraded our room without extra charge. Food was very tasty and service was very quick. We had very good interaction with the owner and his family. I must suggest others who are visiting leh should come to this place and enjoy their hospitality. Overall 5/5.

It was great experience i stayed here for 3 days the rooms were spacious & the service was commendable. The view from balcony was beautiful snowy mountains. Food was amazing specially the chicken curry in nepali style. Overall it was a great experience loved the ambience.

We are glad that we stumbled upon this property while searching for the stays in leh. Tstanzin's property was a home away from home. While we were acclimatizing in leh, the hotel provided us great food and a super comfy stay. The location is also favorable in terms of views and hues. The owner of the place is warm and never hesitates to go an extra mile to help his guests. He will always be there to help you in every possible way. We will definitely book this place in advance, whenever we are coming to leh next.

One of the best hotel with very nice specious rooms, amazing ambiance, very nice supportive staff. More than anything food and it’s owner readiness to help you anywhere you need is amazing. Mr stazin(hotel owner) helped us get booking in nubra valley when no room was available. In short, you must try it once if you plan to go to leh.

Hospitalization by the staff is very good, food quality is enormous, location, ambiance is also very good.
