Radha Cottage- Heritage Resort

The ambience is very nice, amidst the nature. A little far from Dasturi but worth the stay. Food can be little more better. The staff and hospitality during the dine is very nice and warm.

Amenities, service and location of property is excellent, I will definitely this hotel over any in matheran. Food taste is one and only thing that need to improve. Food taste is not worst but manageable

We stayed in one of the heritage rooms at radha cottage on the night of 16 november 2024! radha cottage comes with some history of the place being once upon a time lived in by sir pherozeshah mehta it is located at the extreme end of matheran town hence very secluded from the hustle of town. There are 3 heritage rooms facing a newly constructed swimming pool and we booked one of them. There are other and cheaper options available food is not la carte but a buffet format for breakfast lunch and dinner. The spreads for dinner and breakfast that we opted for, were good enough but not lavish for the price charged. Staff was courteous. Radha the young host was prompt and clear with instructions on matheran as well as the hotel her father shri manoj khedkar whom i had a chance to meet on property was a gem of a person.

Dear mr khedkar, i hope this message finds you well. I am writing with a heavy heart to share my recent experience during my stay at your hotel from 15th to 17th september 2024. I had anticipated a pleasant and restful stay, but sadly, my experience fell short of what i had hoped for, leaving me quite disappointed. I’ve always believed that the quality of service is what makes a stay memorable, but unfortunately, i found the service lacking in warmth and attentiveness. I have shared the details with you through email. I share this not out of frustration, but out of sadness, as i truly wanted to enjoy my stay. I’ve heard such good things about radha cottage, which makes the disappointment even harder. I am hopeful that these issues can be addressed, as i believe your hotel has so much potential to offer guests a wonderful experience.

Rooms are ok. Bathroom has no mats/wiper and hot water is available only from 6:30am to 9:30am, what if people reach at checkin time after walking 1.5hrs to resort(no vehicle in Matheran, toy train and erickshaw have huge waiting). Lights were flickering.. No mini fridge in rooms but it was mentioned in amenities. Only buffet is option for breakfast lunch dinner.. that is too costly for such basic food. It is isolated property and no restaurant in near vicinity the hotel people are taking advantage of it. Pool is for Monkeys only. The staff is so clueless and they say they check and confirm but they never call to confirm. Not at all worth the per night tariff you pay for stay.

The location is awesome. The rooms are not luxurious but they are comfortable. Loved the food both veg and non veg. Lastly the service was very prompt. Very friendly and caring staff.

Radha cottage is a wonderful laid back property surrounded by nature and ideal for guests looking for solitude. The service is good and homely. The management should recast the food options and not take advantage of the isolated quiet location by providing a 'no a la carte' choice. The buffet food being provided are comparatively high priced considering the taste, options and quality. Some guests were complaining of indigestion and similar problems. The swimming pool could have been better laid out with two section with a small separate section for kids. Rooms are good and gives one the pleasure of staying in colonial bungalows

Food, stay and services are good. Food is authentic maharastrian. Location wise it's little far to walk from station but you get a good forest view that's a plus point.

Had a peaceful stay at radha cottage. The staff were helpful and were prompt in their service. The best thing about the stay was the homely food we ate unlike other restaurants we enjoyed the food there.

Location, food awesome. Only problem is numbers given does not respond, be it voice call or whatsapp. Rates given are not revised. Only buffet menu is available.

The rooms are tidy, although the hotel is situated quite a distance from matheran railway station. Food prices are high. However, if you're seeking relaxation, this could be a suitable destination.

Had an amazing stay with my family the caretaker also took a lot of care of any inconveniences if faced a secluded and serene stay

The location, food and service was fantastic. We planned to stay only one night, but loved the property so much that we extended for another. The hotel manager mr. Kunal was very courteous and warm. He made sure our stay was comfortable. The buffet was elaborate with excellent choice of local and indian cuisine. The location is right in woods and close to sunset point. I highly recommend radha cottage to everyone.

Always wanted to stay at this heritage property. Tit is quite removed from the maddening crowds during season time. We were there during diwali but we got the peace and solitude wet we’re looking for. We had booked our stay at the rose cottage which is a beautiful large room with victorian style furniture. Very spacious and also has a wall in wardrobe with a clean bathroom attached. The staff were very hospitable and the food was to our liking and taste. We met the owner mr keskar who made us feel very at home. All in all it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay for us. Be prepared to walk a lot tho since it’s a little inside.
