Purple Lotus | Near Assi Ghat

Staff behaviour was good, location is very near to Assi Ghat a 100 meters walk , only downside rooms are small so as the washroom, you won't have space to move around. If you are looking for a budget stay I can say it's good value for money, no disturbance, roof access, self laundry service can be available

The bathroom is very small with no towel for separate people and no extra bedsheet for 5th people. No thanks

The rooms were extremely small. And no toiletries were provided on the stay. There was no shampoo, soap or towels. Very bad experience with the stay keeping in mind the amount paid the service was terrible

The stay was good. But the hotel i stayed was not purple lotus. When i reached there an employee in purple lotus took us to a nearby hotel named varsha. No toiletries or anything where provided. Upon asking for towels they said they will provide it and we had to go to the reception to collect it as it was not provided. We stayed there for 2 days and they didn't provide new towels on the second day. Also i think there is no power backup. There was a power-cut for a few minutes during our stay and bathroom lights were not working then. Upon check out the care taker asked for money even though no proper services where given. After check in we haven't seen anyone from purple lotus. So even if we book there there is no guarantee where we will be staying.

We booked purple lotus homestay. Firstly, they were not allowed us for check-in at 11:50 am and then after 12:30 pm, they shifted us to different location. The other one was good to stay.

Easy to reach at location, mr santosh is nice guy and the room and washroom was neat and the best part is assi ghat is walking distance one can explore good food and scenic view within 200-400 m distance.

Blanket is smelling very bad, geyser is not working, rest is okay

Staff behaviour is good and the receptionist is also helpful. Price is reasonable and budget friendly.

Overall room is good, and receptionist behavior is also good. But one thing i would like to share room bed is not good.

There was no bottled water available. The tower was not clean, few sockets were not working.

The room. Was neet and clean also the staff was very supportive. Even the room is quite small but its sufficient and good to stay. Q

Everything was the way it should have been.

Rooms are pretty tiny, just about 100 sq feet, bathrooms are even painful less than 2 sq feet with a washbasin and commode, two types of room all with serial 1 like 301, 401 are highly suffocated not recommended to stay with small child, all rooms with serial 2, are bit ok as they have at-least a window open outside in gully. There is no space for vehicles to reach till hotel room, you have to leave it 50 mtrs away and they provide free parking away from property at your own risk which is again 100 mtrs away. No lift, and stairs are steep to move on. Bed highly uncomfortable and after bed hardly there is space left to keep your luggage. Cleanliness is just ok if you insist for it, otherwise staff don't bother themselves for you. Located in a highly congested group of building however on a walking distance from assi ghat and sankat mochan temple. Not recommended for family though ok for single backpackers but in that case price is too high, i paid approx per night.

The only good thing about the property was that it was clean. I stayed there with my family for one night in this home stay. 1) we were suppose to check in at all 12 noon but train got late so we reached at 2pm. We had booked 2 rooms so the staff asked us to wait till 5 as there is only one room available yet, so four of us had to stay in the single room. 2) the location of this hotel is not good it felt unsafe it is inside narrow lanes. 3) the rooms are sooo small and the bathroom are very very tiny. 4) there were major electricity issues it was coming and going again n again. 5) the host called us the next day to empty the room at 12 noon, they gave us the room at 5 pm the day before and expected us to leave on time. All n all i would advice you to only stay in this if you are coming alone, do not stay here with family.

We had a really peaceful stay at the purple lotus. Santosh bhaiya was really interactive and was always around when we needed any information or help about things in the city. Highly recommend staying here whenever in benaras!

Caretaker denied to provide room.

Its definitely not only the place. People there are the sweetest. Khush bhayya is very friendly and Santosh ji was also very friendly. They told what all to see and where all to visit. Literally miss the place after coming back home. Love to visit again.
