Rann Utsav- Economy Non Ac Swiss Tents

A lot of thought is spent on detailing all aspects of comfort and enjoyment in this one of a kind tent city. Starting from your pickup at the Bhuj railway station to the drop back at the same point a lot of care is taken to ensure that everyone visiting the place has had a thrilling experience. I am tilted to agree with people complaining with the expensive price tag but my experience at the place just stopped me from doing it. The premium tents are spacious and were well cooled for that size. It was pretty hot in the day time but we were able to grab the afternoon naps peacefully with niggles properly addresses by our cluster manager, he was from the north. This was a beauty of the place actually the staff were a combination from different parts of India and those in important places were either from tent management or event management. Maybe this explain the reason for their calmness and their kind response to you OK we went to the Rann 3 times. More details of than in my white desert review, each time we didn't have to hassle. For the the evening visit we went by the camel cart which is a must mode to travel. For this you need to queue on time and for the sunrise and night we went by buses. There was morning tea served which were also reminded to take the bus on time and ample time was given to bask in the whiteness of the Rann white desert. The food although veg has a good spread and was meticulously prepared with a homely touch. We were not disappointed even a single time with the 2 nights and the 3 days we spent there. On the 2nd night there was live music in the tent where the food was served which was so nice that we kind of had an hour long lunch until we thought other should get a chance to sit and eat as well. The cultural activities were good except for the African holala which I thought was unnecessarily long. This happened in the evening after dinner. A cycling tour is recommended which gives you an understanding of the enormity which are available cheaply or the more expensive gliding whichever you prefer. They have a recreational place where you may spend some time if you like pool or chess and few other indoor activities. Electric vehicles are available in case your cluster is located further away from the entrance. There are tents where you can pick up good handicrafts and stuff for women at attractive prices. Wives will love that. The visit to Kala Dungar which is a part of the itinerary is definitely recommended. I have also written a review for that there are hoarding all around the tent city explaining the need to keep the tent city and the white desert. Do read out and respect the rules. Also not to forget the guides there have some lovely knowledge about the history and geography of the place do give them a patient hear you will not be disappointed. I would really love to visit this place again.

We went in January along with my friend couple for a two nights package. The package starts from Bhuj station in the morning of day 1 and ends on day 3. On day 1 we checked into our bunga which was very comfortable with 24 hour hot water. Evening we went to the White Rann for sunset. Next day we went to Kala Dungar post lunch for sunset. Food was good with vegetarian buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner. Overall a good break for the women of the house.

Rann utsav an awesome experience with great service and hospitality. The package we took care of everything right from carrying our luggage to food to white desert activities all in all it was a great once in a lifetime experience. The staff are very friendly and cooperative. We never had any problem with anything. The stay in the tent was very comfortable and the food was native and excellent.
