We had the most incredible experience staying at a local homestay during the kutch rann utsav. If you're looking for a genuine village experience without modern amenities, this is the perfect place. The homestay truly embodied the spirit of rural india. Our hosts cooked delicious meals over a traditional wood-fired chula, serving up mouth-watering dishes like khichdi, kadhi, rotlo, ringna nu shaak, mix veg, and chaas. The food was simply outstanding! the homestay itself was a work of art, with beautifully painted walls using local, natural paints. Our hosts took great pride in their handcrafted clothing, which we were encouraged to wear and take photos in. The beds, bed sheets, and chaddars were all lovingly crafted by our hosts, showcasing their impressive textile skills. What made our stay truly special was the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. They lived on the premises, and our kids had an absolute blast playing with their children. It was heartwarming to see the two families bond over games and laughter. If you're seeking an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience, this homestay is a must-visit. Be prepared to immerse yourself in rural india, with all its charm and simplicity. Pros: - authentic village experience - delicious, traditional food - beautiful, handcrafted textiles and clothing - warm and welcoming hosts - unique, rustic accommodations cons: - limited modern amenities (e. G, no gas or geyser) - basic facilities, but clean and well-maintained *recommendation* this homestay is perfect for travelers seeking a genuine, rural indian experience. If you're looking for luxury or modern amenities, this might not be the best fit. However, if you're willing to immerse yourself in local culture and traditions, you'll be richly rewarded.

+ autentic stay in rann of kutch + very kind and helpful host and his family + big colorful room with enough traditional blankets in case it's cold + safe and clean + free breakfast (tee and poha) + i wear their traditional clothes for fotos + i re-command always welcome home stay for a memorable stay with kutch families in gorewali - no hot water but they can heat water for you - only squat indian toilett. No western toilett available. - not easy to find but the owner guide my driver via whatsapp
