MTDC Malshej Ghat

Feedback on stay at MTDC, Malshej:- 1. Location is quite good, however very very poor maintenance of the property. 2. ⁠Food standards are below average. Staff is untrained, poor hospitality. 3. ⁠Rooms are not worth a charges. Stinking rooms, not painted for years as seem, no toiletries placed other than small soap with a towel, no basic amenities in room. Overall room standards are poor. Thanks

Property location is good. We can see valley from balcony. Room was big and clean. Food options are limited but fine

The walls in the rooms were seeping water heavily...no wifi in the rooms and most places in the resort. Infact, my parents and I walked out and checked into a nearby hotel. I'm still hopeful that I will get a refund.

The food was not upto the standard further the rooms were in very bad shape the entire property was not managed no take care of the property

Property is poorly maintained, water seepage in rooms fungus and bad smell, staff trying their best to pleaser however support is lacking from the overall incharge for properly maintaining such a beautiful planned resorts

Pathetic maintenance of the property. Horrible experience. Will not recommend anybody. Even door latch was not working & opening because of strong winds.

The Room walls were fully damp. Door locks between adjacent rooms were broken, luckily the adjacent room was occupied by our friends

My stay was simply the best I’ve ever experienced! The hospitality was outstanding and the comfort made it unforgettable. The weather was also perfect, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We had booked the Valley View Cottages for our stay, but the experience was very disappointing. The cottage allotted to us had fungus all over the walls, chairs, and even the bed headboard. When we requested a change, the reception staff was unhelpful and only after repeated insistence showed us another cottage, which was in even worse condition. It’s really shocking that such poorly maintained cottages are being charged at over per night. The place is in a remote location, but the maintenance and service do not match the price at all. We felt misled and regretted booking here.

Excellent location who wants to enjoy fog in monsoon. Restaurants serve good food. Good service. very spacious rooms.

Property is at a great location and food is also good, but it is not maintained properly. I stayed in a cottage which was full of frogs and spiders. Stay was not value for money what i have paid.

The view is good but the place is not value for money Insted you can stay in camps or villas or lodges Staff is good

Property was well maintained. Food quality was also good. We had visited with our baby and we had a good time

The Malshej visit was great enhanced by the stay at a perfect location and beautiful moments offered by the monsoons . The lush green landscapes and numerous waterfalls gave the hills and the ghats mersmerising charm and beauty which is a treat to our heart and soul . It would be an added pleasure if the MTDC resort where we stayed maintained and serviced better. However toilets were hygienic but the interiors and furnishings needs renovation and uplift . Overall a good experience.

⭐ 1 Star – Absolutely Terrible Experience, Avoid This Place! I had one of the worst stays of my life at this so-called “resort” in Maharashtra. The property is in a horrible, unhygienic state and is being completely misrepresented online. Here’s what we faced: 🔴 Rooms full of mould and fungus – The walls were damp and had visible mould patches. Even worse, the bedsheets and pillows were stained and smelled musty. Clearly, they haven’t cleaned anything properly in ages. 🔴 No working amenities – The intercom didn’t work, the TV was dead, and the Wi-Fi didn’t exist. Basic things like lighting and ventilation were also poor. 🔴 Extremely rude staff – Any complaint was met with arrogance and no intention to help. No professionalism whatsoever. 🔴 Terrible food and service – The food was cold, stale, and barely edible. Service was painfully slow and unorganized. 🔴 Property in ruins – The place is completely unmaintained, with rusted fences, broken tiles, and overgrown weeds. It’s not safe or comfortable in any way. 🔴 No security – No guards, no gates, no cameras. Anyone could walk in and out — very unsafe for families or solo travelers. This place should not be operating as a resort. It’s a health risk and a total scam. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
