Mad Packers Katagla is located at a really beautiful spot — right in front of the river valley and just behind ATS Café. Location-wise, it’s perfect and definitely one of the highlights of this place. The rooms are good, clean, and comfortable, and overall cleanliness is well maintained. The staff is also polite, helpful, and cooperative, which makes the stay smooth and hassle-free. However, if you are traveling solo and booking a hostel expecting a social vibe, this place might disappoint you a little. Unlike many other hostels, there isn’t much opportunity to connect with other travelers. You don’t really get that typical hostel experience like bonfires, group activities, or a lively social atmosphere. So, while the location, rooms, cleanliness, and staff are good, from a solo traveler’s perspective, the vibe is missing.

The Madpackers hostel at Kasol is no less than a perfect abode to lose oneself in the lap of nature. The sound of free flowing Parvati river is a healing experience. The location of this hostel can transport to a different world altogether. The hostel offers you a peaceful and calm environment to work, to stay or just to be with yourself. The staff ensures that a person gets all sort of possible comfort while their stay.

The common areas are relaxing, the location is peaceful, and the team is always ready to help. Overall, it’s an amazing place to unwind, explore Kasol, and enjoy a memorable stay.

Overall, we had a great stay. The location was incredibly peaceful with amazing views, and the room was spotless. However, there were a couple of downsides: since you have to navigate a steep slope and a hanging bridge to reach the property, a porter service is really a must. Also, toiletries weren't provided in the room; we had to request them and then go to reception to pick them up ourselves.

The location of the stay was great, very near to katagla parking. Food info was wrong on MakeMyTrip; the property had no kitchen, but they were situationally cooperative. The stay was cozy and clean.
