Kaits Homestay

Our arrival at Kate s itself was dramatic we were dropped there not by road but by houseboat and received by Mr Jossy We chose it on a friend s recommendation who had stayed there Located on West bank of calm Pampa river lined by houses on both sides it is a treat to spend holidays there They have cottages dining area and the house compound adjoining the river Just having arrived all of us hopped into kayaks owned by the family and went out for a tour of river They have collection of functional kayaks a vallum canoes but non functional available for the guests Enjoyed Tours of the villages along channels of the river by these boats which was unique experience Boatman if required can be hired Only sounds heard were of birds What a place truly own. Enjoyed swimming in river My daughter too jumped in company of their kids at the riverside Ofcourse one needs to follow precautions going into unknown waters and was a great help. Cottages with verandahs and compounds have tasteful chairs hammocks beach chairs for spending leisure. There is a river pond. The nearby market on south side along river bank has a church not to be missed art studio catering to churches requirements home and abroad where we could see the artist working on wooden statue and on the north side along river bank there is a beautiful temple and in the evening one can see birds nesting place near the temple. And now icing on the cake food and hospitality of the family We got to relish true Kerala cuisine in so much of variety and taste the warmth of the family made the experience a memorable one My daughter who has to take GLUTEN free food enjoyed it like anything and my wife did not have to do any special cooking for her which she otherwise has to do on holidays My daughter had nice time with their kids.

Home 4 years before and we were felt like being in Natures lap enjoying the serene surroundings around this place Later this year we made it a point to visit this place again with our family. Everyone liked this place and the excellent hospitality provided by the family. The best part of stay at Kait. Home is the home made food they provide. They ensure the menu is changed every meal to ensure the guest have a taste of the multiple variety of food that Kerala offers Kids enjoyed and the stay At last everyone felt like staying one more day We stayed there for 3 night and 3 days The dining place is built on the backwater giving an astonishing view of the backwater and life in the back water.

The homestay I visited during January 2015 Excellent service and food offered nice Kerala taste By evening and morning you can take boats for a peaceful ride Cut from outside world with the peaceful atmosphere A relaxed place to visit any time Will visit again.
