My recent stay at Hotel Sonar Bangla in Taki was nothing short of delightful. Nestled on the banks of the Ichamati River, the property offers a serene escape from city life. The natural beauty surrounding the Hotel Sonar Bangla, Taki—lush greenery, riverside views, and peaceful ambiance—makes it a perfect weekend getaway. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a beautiful view of the river. The staff was courteous, always smiling, and ready to help, which added warmth to the experience. The in-house restaurant served delicious Bengali cuisine, especially the fish preparations which were a highlight of our trip. One of the best parts was sitting by the riverside in the evening, watching boats go by and enjoying the calm breeze. They also arranged a boat ride which allowed us to explore the river and even catch a glimpse of Bangladesh across the border—an unforgettable experience. Overall, it was a peaceful, refreshing stay with a perfect mix of comfort, nature, and good hospitality. I would definitely recommend Sonar Bangla Taki to anyone looking for a quiet retreat close to Kolkata.

Stayed for one night, 15th Aug. Booked 2 Super-Deluxe rooms Room Service was excellent, despite the long weekend rush. They catered to all our requests, including changing the fridge in one of the rooms. The only disappointment, in this area, was the unavailability of ice Location is wonderful. The proximity to a large river like the Ichhamati has a lot to do with it The property layout is nice, with most rooms having a clear or angular river view, especially from the higher floors. Overall it is well maintained The swimming pool is relatively small for a property of this size. When crowded swimming becomes a constraint Great that there is a coffee shop on campus. Net net a great getaway for a couple of days, close to Kolkata

Properties location is the main USP. All the amenities along with services from the house keeping stuffs are on the top notch. Foods are little bit costly, since you do not have any other options you have to take lunch / dinner from the Hotel Sonar Bangla, Taki itself. Breakfast is not upto the mark.

Rooms are very specious and view from its awesome. Hospitality of all staff's are too good. Food quality, taste is also too good.

It was relaxing, well maintained property . Well behaved staff. Calm and serene. In two hours from Kolkata u reach a beautiful place.
