Hotel Fanar Residency

The hotel is in a very accessible location, making it easy to reach the railway station. The reception staff were also very polite and helpful, which was a positive experience. However, the cleanliness of the towels, sheets, and pillows was disappointing. They appeared quite untidy, and when I requested a change, the replacement pillow covers were just as bad. I hope the management looks into improving this aspect to enhance future stays.

Good as per the budget, good & polite service, very accessible to all the needy shops (but some soundly rooms - may be because of main road)

We had a pleasant stay at fanar residency. The room was clean and airy and the staff were courteous and extremely helpful. This was our second time staying at fanar residency and i'm sure we will choose it again for our next stay in chennai.

Hotel is located at very good place and accessible to all places manager and reception are very good

Located near central station, the hotel is very good. Easy to commute and get local buses or taxies for daily needs.

One of my friend suggested this hotel. Staff is good and humble. The service is very good over here. But the rooms have some issue like shower is not working properly and ac too.

Nice stay hotel is good and it's location from railway station chennai mgr isar very few distance if u are alone u can just walk and reach otherwise auto will charge rs 150

I stayed there for my business trip for 2days in july 23. Location is very near to chennai central railway station. Just walking distance. Easy to communicate. Rooms are good. Toilet also clean. Due to some repairing work lift was not working. Good behavior or staffs.

Even though there are many hotels and stays near the mas railway stations. I recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay. Irrespective of the fact that it was my first time in chennai, the owner/receptionist was very kind to give guidance and help in navigating chennai. I would give full marks just for that. Coming to the infrastructure, i stayed in an executive ac room with two beds. All the facilities are up to par except the washroom in this room. It is a bit congested and the water from the faucet is not tasting good. Breakfast meals are also not up to par. It's better if you could opt out of breakfast and eat from the hotels nearby. Proximity of railway station and all other connectivity like metro and makes this place a good stay. Since it is near the main road few rooms might not be apt for people who can't stand for sounds overall i'd rate it an 8/10 for the stays and 10/10 for the service. If i'm coming to chennai again with a tight budget, this would be my go-to stay.

Extremely poor services. Rooms were not clean and towels were torn .. there was bad odour inside room. Didn’t provide toiletries. Had to ask for everything.. not at all a good experience and won’t suggest to stay here. No proper service.. bed sheets. And blankets were also torn

Location is in mid of road, unhygienic rooms and washrooms and overall bad experience

Room looks average. Lot of mosquitos. Toilet looks horrible. But they are flexible about checkin check out timing. Rececptionsits are helping a lot.

The rooms are very smelly, and there were cockroach all over the table and near jug & kettle. We couldn't even able to use glasses for drinking water, had to order packed drinking water bottles. The pillow covers are also not clean seems they haven't washed them in ages. Room toilet was the worst, one cannot even stand for 5 minutes there. All over there was smell and the smell was not bearable, even the water was not clear. Hygiene and all were literally not there. This is my worst experience in chennai for staying in hotel
