Himadri Homestay | Rooms & Restaurant

We as a family sought a location which was not too crowded and this was fitting the bill. The property was clean and comfortable. The owner was caring and polite and the food was good. The view from the spacious balcony was good though partly obscured by the smoke from numerous forest fires around the area. The sunrise view was excellent. But the rooms lack a/c and would be somewhat uncomfortable in slightly warmer weather.

Rooms were clean. Staff behaviour was also excellent. Food was also good. Overall it is good stay. The hotel is just beside the road so you will hear road noise.

View from the balcony of the himalayas is so beautiful and serene. The first light in the morning is a sight to behold. Hygiene and home cooked food are amazing. Only concern is the way to reach the property. Request to anyone who's thinking of going here, please get in touch with the host prior to leaving for this location. They shall guide you with a better and safer route. Don't follow the route shown in go-ogle maps as it's really dangerous.

This place is a quaint abode in an extremely compact village. I stayed at this property for 2 days and the stay was everything i could ask for to escape from city life. Trishul peak is visible from both the rooms, so you can dine in with the himalaya. The rooms are well organised. Food and service is on point. The place is a bit off connectivity but the host will help you reach if you ask for pick-up. There are at least 8 treks in the vicinity and all on marked paths, which is great for people who want to explore the unknown. Overall a great place to enjoy personal space. Looking forward to another trip. )

We stayed here for 4 days and trust me, i have never been a place as quite and magistic as this. Pros food: food was amazing, especially all kumauni style dishes which is their speciality wifi: amazing wifi speed and 24 hours coverage location: the view from the balcony was simply breathe taking, wide range of himalayas and cloud covered valley plants: for greenery lovers like me this place is heaven, balcony was full of blooming flowers which is cherry on top cons: you will never want to return to your homeplace honestly this place is perfect for peace lovers, the host is amazing and friendly and super co-operative. He even arranged a surprise candle light dinner for me and my husband as it was our 1st marriage anniversary, can't explain my experience in words.

I loved the location and view from hotel. Pathak Ji was very humble and caring and Bhuvan Ji one of the best staff member of Pathak Ji. Food was quite nice and delicious, loved my stay there.

This location is definitely for the nature lovers, peace lovers if you want your vacation to be happening with lots of restaurants and coffee shops then this is not your cup of tea. Best enjoyed with family or solo or couple. You can also stay here for a month or so, its a small and peaceful location with lots of trees and yes fresh air and good pahadi food. Do visit, totally recommended.

We stayed 2 days at Himadri Guest House. We are highly influenced with the hospitality. Rooms are very clean and toilet hygienic. Caretaker Gopal Jee helped lots to walk different spots in Shitlakhet. We like to come here again.

Though the owner was very cool and cooperative but he could not provide us with a fan. The weather during afternoon was sufficiently warm for a fan. The atmosphere was homely. People in the area were polite and gentle. Needs to work more on cleanliness.

Away from hustle and bustle of the City this hotel is located in the shit lake the coolest area of Almora district, this area is almost 30 km away from Almora City and towards Ranikhet, you can watch mesmerizing view of Hills from your own room, the beauty of this place is it has no popular points to visit and this makes you free and relaxed as you don't have to catch up on them so while sitting in the room or roaming Around the little Town you can enjoy the pleasant weather and beautiful landscapes, in a nutshell this place is perfect in its own right, hotel room was very clean, spacious and well decorated, the ambiance was good, behavior of guide and Gopal was very nice, if ever I get to visit this place again I will certainly stay in the same hotel!

Please show hotels within the vicinity of the area searched for and not some 35 to 40 kms away, and secondly that was not a hotel at all and you guys charged so much for it. Very bad experience and will remember this in future.
