GOLDEN PEAK SONAMARG

1) Hotel lies in the village area at Sonmarg , hard to find as it does not have proper entrance , even lacks parking space. Seems like everyone in the village is trying to open a hotel which lacks any kind of hospitality, food quality, customer service. 2. Since the hotel is a new property, as such the rooms are still OK. Cleanliness is OK. 3. Can't expect morning tea, laundry service, early morning breakfast, or a delicious Dinner. In the Breakfast Buffet you only get Paratha and pickle and we are paying for that. If you ask for anything else in breakfast, that is not possible due to lack of staff. For dinner you have to tell in advance and then they shall prepare the food in limited quantity and limited skills. 4. Its just a bed and breakfast hotel and the price shouldn't be more than INR 1000, 5. I wonder why this hotel has been given rating of 5 star by the travellers. The location is a big turn down .. The name Golden Peak is not justified as the complete sommarg valley is surrounded by snow laden peaks and as such view is good from any nearby hotel in sonmarg. The view from this hotel towards the peak is good, if u ignore nearby house backyards and concrete debris. 6. It was a relief after Check Out. Better to look for Hotels near JKTDC hotel in Sonmarg Town.

The rooms were mediocre. The attitude of the staff was appalling. The character of these hotel was lesser than nothing. The food was horrendous. At the end of the sordid night, it was a relief checking out. It was an utter shame that so much could have been done with the space and was wasted away by sheer ignorance and lack of creativity coupled with dollops of mediocrity and neglect. Heartbroken among-st a magnificent landscape and the grandeur of the mighty himalayas. So sorry guys.

Very bad location and rate is very high but hotel is in a very low category. All trips to kashmir, i have booked a hotel with make my trip, rate is very high and category is very low

Good, comfortable and cosy stay at goldennpeak with an experienced cook and sumptuous food. The hotel is just 10 months old

Finding property wasn't an easy task. Stay was nice. Good breakfast, superior rooms. Overall very nice experience.

Golden peak sonmarg is like a home stay. Wasim the owner makes you feel at ease with his friendly gesture. The house keeping staff is absolutely service minded and very obedient ready to take your orders be it a day or late in the evening. This hotel's chef raman kumar knows his job best, catering to the need of the guests, with a smile on face. This property has only one issue, the parking. As per the owners information it will be taken care of.
